Representing those working one of the most dangerous jobs in America. From the cell blocks of America’s federal prisons to law enforcement missions nationwide.
A ‘solutions box’ is not a grievance procedure.
When you have a union contract, they must listen.
When you have a survey, they choose if they listen.
That’s the difference between rights and permission.
#BacktheBlue#LEO
On September 25, 2025, the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) made a dangerous decision.
They revoked every federal Corrections Officer's right to union representation in the disciplinary process. This essential contract protection was our only defense against constant, targeted false allegations made by inmates.
This is not a labor dispute. This is a public safety crisis where bureaucrats chose to prioritize the demands of inmate advocacy groups over the safety and security of the frontline officers who risk their lives every day.
WE HOLD THE HARDEST LINE IN AMERICA. OUR PROTECTIONS MUST BE JUST AS STRONG.

Pumped up after attending @sherifflamb1’s campaign kickoff this weekend! 🤠🔥
Regret bringing my wife though, she spent the whole weekend rolling her eyes every time I opened a door for her saying “Sheriff Lamb took his HAT off when he spoke to me” 😂
Guess I’ve still got some old-school manners to learn from the man himself!
Truly fired up to support a leader guided by strong moral conviction (and yes, actual chivalry). Arizona needs Mark Lamb in the Senate!
Let’s go Mark! 🇺🇸 #MoreCowboyHatsToDC #AmericaFirst #AZSen
💔 The Knock at 1:30 AM: The story of my son’s tragic murder at the hands of an inmate, and the Bureau of Prisons cover up.
By Don Williams, Father of Fallen BOP Officer Eric Williams
At 1:30 in the morning on February 26, 2013, a knock came that fractured our world forever.
The Warden of USP Canaan, accompanied by officials and a representative from the Council of Prison Locals, stood on our doorstep. The Warden confirmed I was Eric's father, and then spoke words that detonated in my mind: "I regret to tell you, but your son Eric passed away at work tonight.
What he soon clarified was even more horrifying. My son, Officer Eric Williams, had been murdered, ambushed by a federal inmate named Jessie Con-Ui, a hardened assassin with a life sentence for murder.
The sickening story I learned was Eric had been working alone in a high-security cell block, responsible for 125 of the most dangerous inmates. Con-Ui kicked my son down a staircase and then stabbed him repeatedly with makeshift knife delivering over 200 stab wounds. The most sickening detail? The attack wasn't discovered for over half an hour.
I was appalled at the unconscionable disregard for the safety of our Law Enforcement Officers.
In the days that followed, our home was a whirlwind of BOP officials engaged in damage control. They insisted Con-Ui was a "model prisoner" and they couldn't possibly understand why this happened.
But the truth, unearthed by a local reporter, shattered my trust entirely. The "model" prisoner was a documented Mexican Mafia gang member with a rap sheet a mile long and countless internal disciplinary infractions, including prior assaults on officers. The system had failed Eric, and BOP leadership was scrambling to cover up the systemic negligence.
Tragically, just one day after Eric’s murder, BOP Lieutenant Osvaldo Albarati was ambushed and shot to death on his way home from work at the federal prison in an organized hit by cartel members after busting up a contraband cell phone and drug ring inside the prison. The crisis in the BOP was not isolated, it was a systemic failure of leadership and security.
Thank God for the Council of Prison Locals union.
We learned that for years leading up to Eric's murder, the union had been fighting BOP management for the basic safety measures that could have saved Eric's and Osvaldo’s life. They weren't fighting for perks and office furniture; they were fighting for the fundamental right to return home alive.
My wife and I, along with the Albarati family joined the Council of Prison Locals in their legislative advocacy. We battled through fierce resistance from BOP bureaucrats, many who still hold top level positions within the BOP, using Eric's tragic story as a demand for operational discipline and security.
Our partnership with the union led to historic legislative victories:
-Pepper Spray for officers.
-Stab Vests for protection.
-Gun Lockers for safety to and from work.
-Man Down Radios for emergency alerts.
-A Second Officer in high-custody penitentiary cell blocks.
The Union is the Last Line of Defense
This is why the union's contract and its role as the exclusive representative for Law Enforcement Professionals in the BOP is non-negotiable.
The CBA is not a "union perk", it is the binding document that ensures BOP management cannot unilaterally sacrifice officer safety and operational security in the name of cost-cutting or false "flexibility."
Our son died because bureaucrats ignored the security warnings the union had been sounding for years. Restoring the union contract is the only way to restore accountability, operational discipline, and, most importantly, the ability for our Law Enforcement Professionals to go home to their families.
We honor Eric by fighting to keep the union. So no family has to answer the same knock my wife and the Albaratis answered.
Please tag your Congressional representatives and demand the Director restore the union contract in the BOP.

Federal corrections officers and other essential workers are on the front lines protecting our country, without pay during this shutdown! Would YOU do their dangerous job for free? Politicians: End the deadlock NOW and pay these heroes. #SupportFederalWorkers#EndTheShutdown
At the President’s direction, the Department of War is establishing a new counter-narcotics Joint Task Force in the @SOUTHCOM area of responsibility to crush the cartels, stop the poison, and keep America safe. The message is clear: if you traffic drugs toward our shores, we will stop you cold.
@CPLTucsonL3955 & L2313 Safford are proud to support @RepCiscomani in standing with federal workers during the shutdown. He’s forgoing his paycheck to stand with our frontline law enforcement, military, & air traffic controllers who continue to show up with no pay. Leadership in action!

The Council of Prisons Western Region, advocating for the brave men and women who serve in America’s federal prisons, extends our gratitude to @andybiggs4az, and @RepCiscomani for voting YES, to pass a seven-week clean Continuing Resolution (CR). A common-sense measure that reflects an understanding that governance must prioritize the real people who uphold our justice system. We urge all of our elected leaders to swiftly follow suit before today’s deadline, and we call on them to support this CR and fulfill their constitutional duty to fund the government. #shutdown, @WhiteHouse, @POTUS.
Thank you, @BOPDepDirector, for meeting with staff. Your engagement is deeply respected, and we appreciate it. Our daily challenges are opportunities where your leadership, alongside @BOPDirector, could make a significant impact:
• Augmentation pulls non-custody staff from their mission to compensate for hiring and retention struggles, weakening safety and hindering our rehabilitation goals under the First Step Act.
• Low pay and poor working conditions hampers recruitment and retention, leaving posts vacant, making overtime unsustainable, and forcing program staff reassignments that undermine rehabilitation efforts.
• Collective bargaining rights offer the most effective way to address issues before they escalate into agency-wide crises. Engaging employees who feel unprotected risks creating an echo chamber, missing critical problems.
When employees feel genuinely heard, it builds ownership and purpose that no policy can replicate. This buy-in is essential for the success of even the best reforms.
Empower us with the resources and trust to support our frontline #lawenforcement. CPLWestReg is mission-ready to elevate this agency to new heights together! @RepAndyBiggsAZ , @RepCiscomani, @RepEliCrane, @RepGosar, @realDonaldTrump .
From tough questions to circulating rumors, staff voices are being heard! @BOPDepDirector Smith on the ground at Grand Prairie Complex, met with the workforce in the Human Resources Services Center, the Field Acquisition Office, Designation, Sentence Computation Center and the South Central Regional Office.

Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.
Thanks to the leadership of President Trump, they are now classified as a domestic terrorist organization.
