Just changed our website to highlight our 30th season Spring 2020 concert!
It features a CPSO commission from local composer Martin Bright called Apkallu:Protector. Martin's piece is an epic, dramatic work inspired by the beliefs of the people of ancient Assyria ..
It includes dances, ceremonial music and sounds from their spiritual world.
We are really looking forward to playing this exciting new work in which we will be joined by the senior percussionist ensemble from the Peterborough Centre for Young Musicians.
Thanks to all who joined us yesterday for the first concert in CPSOโs 30th Birthday series; an extra special thank you to our supreme soloist Freya Goldmark and fantastic conductor Steve Bingham.
We hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did ๐ถ
Please note that access to our concert tomorrow at 3pm may be via Lincoln Road > Mounsteven Avenue only because of Great Eastern Run road closures on other routes until 2pm.
