Without love, the person starts to wither from the inside out — emotionally they feel empty and unseen, mentally their self-worth erodes and cynicism grows, and physically stress rises while sleep and health suffer, because humans aren’t built for isolation. Some shut down, others chase approval anywhere, but the truth is we need connection to feel alive. Even one genuine bond can bring a person back from that emptiness.
