if kate forbes runs and wins, whatever your opinion about her, you would have to admit that it was a momentous occasion for scotland to have our first gaelic-speaking religious bigot as a leader
Inflation is a key problem in advanced & developed countries.
Rapid & intense interest rate hikes without a broader policy mix will cause economic hardship.

✅Support vulnerable groups
✅Regulate abuse of market power & speculation
✅Ease global supply chain bottlenecks
This is British King Charles 3rd.
For those of you who don't know, the Beret he is wearing is that of the Parachute Regiment, of which he has been Commander in Chief for years. In 1971 the Parachute Regiment entered Ballymurphy and shot dead 10 completely innocent civilians.
From 8 years after Queen Elizabeth’s coronation until well into the 1970s, the British government engaged in Operation Legacy, destroying records of the British empire’s crimes. Now *is* the time to discuss this kind of detail because her death is used to push a sanitised history

The Government needs to pay transport staff what they deserve, not force a real terms pay cut on them during a #CostOfLivingCrisis.
The PM talks about a 'wage-price’ spiral. Wages are chasing prices, not putting them up. It's a ‘profits & profiteering spiral’ that's responsible for this inflation surge. Maybe it’s time we started talking about profiteering restraint not wage restraint. https://t.co/FWnDDEzLL1
@Sean_Ferguson93@GlasgowCC surely the bigger problem is the path design there why have they put up an assault course for those with non-standard bikes or mobility aids?
Just so we're clear, Scottish Labour's position is that people urgently need Labour in power, but they refuse to even try securing any power in 31/32 councils, because it would mean working with at least one other centre-left party and that's apparently unacceptable
@MccailColl If only Scottish labour showed a bit of respect and treated the greens for what they are an independent party with many of the same goals of Slabour
