@hughhowey In Palm Sunday (IIRC), Vonnegut says he looked at all the books he wrote & he wondered, "My God, I created all this?" I'm paraphrasing here, as I don't have the direct quote handy at the moment.

@jeffvandermeer @the_BRIX_me I agree with all of this! I believe investing in new infrastructure and encouraging greater adoption of existing mass transit infrastructure is the best way forward. I can think that while acknowledging it’s a form of idealism that is (unfortunately) highly unlikely to happen.

@robertgriker Gotcha. Low patients happened bc people were afraid of going to the hospital. My wife is an icu and ER resident in an area that got hit hard, but not nearly as hard as places like NYC. It was still extremely traumatic.
