@geoffwoods I learned some great tips on better utilizing AI in your presentation today! Your statement “asking ‘why are we doing this?’ is thinking like a machine” confused a lot of people though. Can you please expand on that?
Today was peak #enshittification for me:
-UHaul app hangs & crashes => 30 mins in cold
-McDonald’s app fails 10x, then orders food it said it couldn’t -CoinTracker points to Coinbase, which points back -TurboTax jumps back to earlier sections again & again
#idiocracy
@CoinTracker tells me to go to @coinbase to review my cost basis details, and as soon as I follow that link, Coinbase gives me a link to go back to CoinTracker. Glad I pay for CoinTracker Prime+. Crypto taxes are very confusing...
Re: AT&T reducing offload amounts on some hotspots, I’m wondering what the pattern is. My two are in quite busy (relative to my town) public areas, but ATT offload is much lower.
I imagine their own towers can handle more load just fine.
What are others seeing?
@WIRED some of your longer articles constantly crash and cause page reloads in Safari for iOS…annoying when you’re well into an article and suddenly at the top again. Seems related to the ads.
@Planner5D Your app looks cool at first glance, but usability issues quickly emerge (iOS version):
- floor dimensions displayed in feet & inches, but dimensions dialog only takes inches (& tenths of an inch)
- when dragging to resize room, snap-to behavior is too aggressive
Think your flight tracker knows where planes really are?
Unless it can prove where a signal was received, it’s just assumptions.
🛰️ Wingbits locks each signal to a GPS-verified device and cryptographically signs it.
That’s not flight tracking.
That’s proof-of-location intelligence.
That's DePIN in action.
And you can be part of it.
