While this data looks at property taxes nationwide, there are plenty of takeaways for Hoosiers.

1. Indianapolis has seen the 2nd highest jump in the nation for property taxes from 2019-2023 (19%)

2. Terra Haute’s city budget rose from $74 million in 2020, to $140 million in 2024.

3. Nationwide public schools spend $20 billion annually on DEI
