@Franco_CAFC_5 I think he is the best man for us, he’s very demanding on that touchline but you can see how much it means to him, the players underperforming can’t always be put on him, if I make a wrong decision on or off the ball that’s on me not the manager, he doesn’t control my decisions
Is Jones a victim of his own success? Being promoted to the Champ in his 1st full season in charge meant a lot of squad & player development had to be done in a league renowned for being brutal. Would another season in L1 putting things in place have eased the transition? #cafc
@CharltonYooof Yep, he jumps up and down on that touchline, the passion he shows is brilliant, he still has to tell a 29 year old Grant how to press a player, to me it’s as though the players are choosing to play there own way on the pitch 🤷♂️
@JimWillams Not sure if Nathan was allowing them to play that defensive the rest of the game or was he commanding them to press and they just weren’t listening? I was only paying attention to the game after that so I didn’t take notice of Nathan 🤷♂️
@JimWillams Agreed, I noticed how Jones was telling Grant how to press, he was instructing him to angle his run towards the oppositions left shoulder to close off the pass on the outside , started off well then the players started to play too cautious on a 1-0, 1/2
@webbyluke123@CAFCofficial@MeantimeBrewing Agreed mate, yeah true, thinking about it we’re not that deep but everyone is behind the ball, too defensive, sometimes I think they aren’t fit enough to play high press across 90 mins which is why they sit off 🤷♂️
@CAFCofficial Rotate the squad Nathan, don’t play a formation with 7 defensive players and then say post-match “we didn’t take the game to them”, sort it out fella, take responsibility.
@tegsyjack Not the greatest fan of them mate, its got its pro’s and cons, having to get up earlier is the negative side but on the other hand when the game finishes it’s still pretty early in the day so yeah I’m half and half with it, but much prefer the 3pm usual 😂
@Alex_CAFC47 Good lineup mate, for me I’d take out Knibbs for Carey & happy with Kelman up top but wouldn’t mind trying Grant there either. UTA 🔴⚪️
@CharltonYooof My thinking is you could play the ball to feet in midfield, feed the ball through to the full-backs in behind on the outside, or maybe long ball into Miles to flick it on behind him to Grant, idk man I want to see us just try something else, be more creative 😂
@tomfjeis Agreed mate, I think we could get way more out of Grant up top, front 2 with Miles, we have Mwamba, Knibbs, JRC & Carey who all have good ability, Mwamba looked fantastic when he came on against Watford, even if we win, if he still setups the same i don’t want him here anymore.
@Champchatpod24 Very concerned mate, it’s not so much the winless run, we’ve been here before, but no matter the formation, nothing works, simple player movement like ball gets played into our cb, our full-backs don’t drop back to receive, they just stand up the other end of the pitch. 🤷♂️
@CAFCofficial Got to love a last minute goal, but the reality is we’re 7 without a win, the tempo of performances each game are sluggish with no creativity, what does Carey have to do to even get a look in anymore 🤷♂️…. Onto Watford 🤝
@CAFCofficial I think we were solid in defence, would of kept a clean sheet if it wasn’t for the penalty, but there is such a lack of movement from us in attack, which leads to backwards and sideways passes, build-up play needs to improve massively, I’d love to know what they do in training.
