@DailyBlend2@BairischFCB@PhdDavinsky Ah yes. Since these are total number let’s factor in the population. We’ll give the benefit of the doubt that they are all American. So for HS Sr., it’s 2% of the white population vs 0.5% of the black. I’d say that looks pretty bad for whites when their net worth is 7x.
@BairischFCB@DailyBlend2@PhdDavinsky Is this Ivy League school admission? Also 70k international student from Asia take the test every year and it’s usually rich top performing well prepped kids that are taking the test.
@BairischFCB@DailyBlend2@PhdDavinsky We are talking about discrepancies in scoring. The fact is that 100 points equates to a difference of 6 correct answers maximum out of 98 question. When people are bringing these admission arguments, they are acting as if it’s a huge difference, which it isn’t.
@BairischFCB@DailyBlend2@PhdDavinsky Poor and lower middle class black students and not going to SAT prep factories, are usually working part time to help keep the family moving while doing extra curricular activities. They are undergoing way more mental load in high school and are basically scoring almost equal.
@kennyrtk@SoleilB97@freakoutsideofx What are you talking about? Welding is a critical important trade that not enough ppl are doing. He’s going to be making good amounts of money his whole life.
@DimitarTupenov@socialistadri Literally the 4th largest economy in the world. Yes, the world. This is why republicans are so desperate to take it over. Their policies will ruin it like it does everywhere else.
@DailyBlend2@PhdDavinsky Harvard, for example had a SAT average discrepancy of about 40 points. Out of 150+ questions, that’s about a 7 question differential. That’s like a 4% differential. It isn’t much at all. Harvard black population is 11%. They are not stealing admissions from anyone.
