The independent coalition, much larger than either legacy party, does not need to all unify behind one party with the same ideological agenda. That’ll never happen.

Independents can unite behind election reforms that reduce or eliminate the ‘spoiler effect’ like RCV or STAR voting, open primaries, ballot access reform, or proportional representation.

Freeing US politics from the spoiler effect would enable a real multi-party system with more than 3 national parties, plus a constellation of state and local parties.
