That is false.

For example, textually Eucharistic prayer IV is a superior and more explicit expression of the sacrifice of the Mass than the Roman Canon. Also, the Roman Canon never calls on the lay faithful to explicitly affirm that the Mass is a sacrifice, whereas the lay faithful are indeed explicitly asked to verbally confirm that the Mass is a sacrifice in the Novus Ordo. Likewise the penitential rite in the old liturgy was for the Priest to say alone, leaving the lay faithful as spectators who could only participate internally if they knew what was going on, and the Novus Ordo corrects this by explicitly calling on all the lay faithful to verbally admit and confess their sins. In addition, the Novus Ordo delivers infinitely more Scripture to the lay faithful than the old rite. I could go on. There was a very good reason why the old liturgy was reformed.

Perhaps one day you will learn to care.

Im sorry but that is not the way. God will not say ''upon this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it''' and then destroy it....and then save His church by making a rebel group defy His visible Church leader, when no sin is being asked, and abandoned its structure and discipline because they feel they can do all things in an emergency- I think people forget its God's Church, not the Church of the hierarchy, the Church is the spotless bride of Christ, but there will be corrupt hierarchy and churchman that exists.

You can not abandoned His Church because of some bad or corrupt churchman and try to create your own ''perfect church'', which obviously hasn't worked out.

You cant have the faith without being in the structure & discipline of the Church and without being in communion with the Pope. No sin is being asked of the SSPX or any of their faithful, you cant just do whatever you want, we have plenty of groups that do that who claim to be correct, we dont need more. Where there is Peter, there is the Church, even if in a big mess. You are not part of the Catholic Church, you are part of the SSPX, and unfortunately those are two different things with two different leaders who answer to no one.

There's no "Mainline Protestantism". There are Anglicans, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Baptists, UCC etc. These all disagree on core doctrines and only commune by watering down doctrine.

In the rare case any of them actually believe their tenets, they don't commune with the others.

Taylor Marshall is learning what I did in 2020, when I was the target of vicious attacks by SSPXers for the offense of exposing sex abuse in their ranks.

In my years of reporting on clerical abuse in the Church, the SSPX response has been, hands down, the nastiest.

Like the accusations hurled at Taylor, I was called the most explicit names, smeared as an alcoholic, an adulteress, someone who'd had multiple abortions, etc. All outrageous lies - and all of them coming from SSPXers.

The response, far worse than backlash I've received from any other Catholic group I've reported on, is telling.

In his refutation of Protestant errors, St. Robert Bellarmine explains: “The Catholic teaching is that the Church is only one, not two, and that the body of men of the same Christian profession and of the same sacraments gathered in communion is one and true, under the rule of legitimate pastors and especially of the one Vicar of Christ on earth, the Roman Pontiff.”

Like all sedevacantists, the Transalpine Redemptorists reduce the Church to those “who keep the Faith” and “who keep to the traditional Mass and sacraments,” while completely ignoring the third constituent part of being “under the rule of legitimate pastors” (ecclesiastical government). In other words, they violate the Church’s mark of apostolicity — specifically, apostolicity of government (https://t.co/wm19xDmrcO) — and thus “make the Church invisible,” as Bellarmine says (De Ecclesia, Book III, Ch. 2: https://t.co/ZoTpmPzO7s).

Moreover, Bellarmine notes that “schismatics are excluded [from the Church], that is, those who have the faith and the sacraments but are not under the legitimate pastor, and therefore profess the faith and receive the sacraments outside of the Church.”

In the words of Pope Pius XII, “those who are divided in faith or government cannot be living in the unity of such a Body [i.e., the Church], nor can they be living the life of its one Divine Spirit” (Mystici Corporis Christi, n. 22).

In sum, Bishop Michael Mary is not a legitimate (formal) successor of the Apostles (https://t.co/ISRG0bN4gi) and the Transalpine Redemptorists are indeed schismatics, for the simple reason that the reject the man whom the entire Church accepts as the Pope. As John of St. Thomas observes:

“Whoever would deny that a particular man is Pope after he has been peacefully and canonically accepted, would not only be a schismatic, but also a heretic; for, not only would he rend the unity of the Church … but he would also add to this a perverse doctrine, by denying that the man accepted by the Church is to be regarded as the Pope and the rule of faith [i.e., the proximate rule, who is himself subject to the remote rule of Scripture and Tradition]. Pertinent here is the teaching of St. Jerome (Commentary on Titus, chapter 3) and of St. Thomas (IIa IIae, q. 39, a. 1, ad 3), that every schism concocts some heresy for itself, in order to justify its withdrawal from the Church. Thus, although schism is distinct from heresy, nevertheless, it is most often joined with heresy, and prepares the way for it, and in the case at hand whoever would deny the proposition just stated would not be a pure schismatic, but also a heretic, as Suárez also reckons.”
