@dilanesper but the laws only trigger if your intent is to avoid reporting! I don't know about you, but I never adjust the amount of any deposit or transaction for the intentional purpose of avoiding it being reported to the feds -- so it doesn't matter at what level said report would occur!
@MediumBuying@trowaman ...why would the broadcaster allow this obvious arbitrage to exist? why would anyone ever purchase a local ad, if they could just broadcast it nationally for cheaper and add a "if you're not in texas, sucks to be you, move to texas so you can enjoy our BBQ sauce too!"
@ZacharyDonnini No, that's implying a slight pro-Dem polling error (i.e. the *outcomes* come out more pro-GOP than the polls). Note the label is wrong -- the y-axis is change of GOP win, not Dem win (compare GA with FL).
@dilanesper Is there anyone, seriously, in this area of the legal movement who sincerely believes Alito's not a hack? It's really hard for me to imagine.
@QiaochuYuan I don't think most of this is right, I think it's just because people feel OK to bail on a party last-minute if they know 30 other people will be there, but if you're going to be one of 4 people, you might tough it out. (not autistic, but could be wrong the old-fashioned way)
@ZachWeiner Why do people like this one so much? The TIE ME TO THE MAST video at least had some interesting *use* of the hotness of the girl, in how the undertone of menace is mitigated (and thereby intensified) by her being cute and by the *way* in which she's cute.
@landsknechtDev And for those truly *interested* in women, nothing is more arousing than comprehending that interiority.
Lots of people think women are hot, or want to fuck women, or like having women around.
But how can you say you're interested in women if you're not *interested* in women?
@DjsokeSpeaking Can I suggest you consider, when showing margins that are positive, displaying them as "+84%" or "+11%" rather than "84%" or "11%"? It disambiguates so no one can think it's an absolute fraction or portion of the whole.
@gleech The Beatrix Potter is actually extremely good and I am for the first time impressed -- because it is both entirely Beatrix Potter and also an actually good and comprehensible explanation.
@nptacek@deepfates Not asking you to do this, just curious about your workflow: if you wanted to change that about the chorus, could you at this point? (and just adjust things around it) Or is everything so interrelatedly intertwined that you really can't touch one piece roughly starting over?
@nptacek@deepfates am I missing something? aside from the chorus, this one seems to have a great sense of prosody, nailing it when the lyrics line up (which is most of the time, they're written real nice metrically), doing fun things when there's room to take a beat, and generally having great flow
