The D-Day Landing beaches have been added to @UNESCO's World Heritage List. This includes Gold Beach, which sits below the British Normandy Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer.

This addition to the list emphasises the importance of remembering and preserving the story of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. ❤️

@simonharley Simon I’m sorry to be disagreeable, and I’m most certainly not a Labour supporter, but @JamesTCobbler and his family have made an unparalleled contribution to prisoner training, rehabilitation, and employment. He was exceptionally qualified for the role; and is a life peer.

As a member of the public I’d welcome a visible rank distinction, & hope the recommendation is enacted. I hope with it will come a respectable pay band.
