The @ecb published an update on its work on the digital euro scheme’s Rulebook Development Group (#RDG).

What is the role of the RDG? The RDG has the task to define the roles of all actors in the #digitaleuro ecosystem - including end users, vendors and acquirers. It is the ultimate goal of the RDG to ensure a sophisticated experience, while also enabling competition and innovation. What did the update include?

1️⃣The first chapters of the rulebook are now drafted. It covers the functional and operational mode, the technical scheme requirements, and the adherence model of the digital euro scheme.

2️⃣The update clarified the various digital euro services around access management, liquidity managements, and transaction management.

3️⃣The update document also provide concrete flows for digital euro onboarding, transactions, and other processes as well as a high-level architecture.

4️⃣It was also mentioned that digital euro funding will be possible both via online money accounts as well as cash (via ATM and bank branches)
