Warrant Officers Richard Nolan and Frank Mellish died as national heroes. On 3 September 2006, the pair of soldiers were killed while serving with the @CanadianForces in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
#CanadaRemembers their service and sacrifice.
Private Marc Diab was an example of bravery and resilience. Born in Lebanon in 1986, he fled to Canada with his family in 2000 where he became an active member of the Lebanese Mississauga community. 1/4

🌟 We’re at the RBG celebrating recipients of the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal – including our own Wendy Caron! 🎖️ Wendy recently retired after 26 years of service at Woodview & has been a lifeline for children and youth facing mental health challenges!
Today, I had the privilege of attending the King Charles III Coronation Medal Ceremony, presented by MP @karinagould, to recognize the invaluable, selfless service of individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada and our community. I was honoured to nominate Burlington Veteran Gordon Schottlander, who, at just 19, fought on Juno Beach on D-Day. Hearing the stories of all the recipients and their impact on Burlington and Canada was incredibly inspiring.
Congratulations to all honourees—you continue to inspire our community!
Extremely honoured and grateful to be a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal for my advocacy work within the community on spreading awareness on gender-based violence and supporting survivors of it. Thank you @karinagould
Each week, I am sharing the stories of the artifacts located at the Canadian War Museum and Canadian Museum of History.
Today, it is Randy Bachman's guitar at the @CanMusHistory!
