Yesterday I got an email informing me that I didn’t match into #Ortho for the second year in a row, this morning I did (not assisted with) my second AKA this month.
The field of medicine is so bizarre.

Last Sunday, I got an email that my 2nd first-author publication was accepted w/o revisions in JOA. Yesterday, I got an email that will signify the end of my dream of being a surgeon if I don’t get a prelim-surg spot in #SOAP2022. #SurgTwitter #OrthoTwitter #MedTwitter

@drtulsijose What exactly do you mean by take a brief break during the SOAP? It’s only 3 days long. I sent in my 45 apps with optimism, not much else I can do at the moment.
