None of the victims of actual Nazis got shocked when someone was murdered because they were dealing with actual Nazis who were killing people on mass scale. The outrage over a single death in America is the tell. People know ICE agents aren’t Nazis. Hence the shock. They expect them to follow rules. They scream things like “YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENFORCE TRAFFIC”. Do you think actual victims of Nazis chased them to instigate altercations? No. They hid. They hid to stay alive. Everyone there expecting to be treated like someone with rights is either woefully historically illiterate OR a liar who knows damn well it’s not the same thing.

When I lived abroad in Eastern Europe I took my ass down to the immigration office and got my paperwork in order. I had to carry my passport when I traveled between cities within the country. I had to prove my visa status. This shit is just normal life living in a country as a foreigner. It’s nothing new. Obama deported what 3,000,000?! He was breaking deportation records while in office. What changed?
