Center Aaron Brewer and the Miami Dolphins reached agreement today on a 3-year, $52.5 million extension that includes $37 million guaranteed. The deal makes Brewer one of the highest-paid centers in the league in a deal done by Kyle McCarthy of Athletes First.
BREAKING: The #Dolphins and Pro Bowl RB De'Von Achane have agreed to a 4-year extension worth $68M, making him the NFL’s 3rd-highest-paid RB at $17M per year with $32M guaranteed, per multiple sources.
The APY and guarantees are the most ever for RBs coming off rookie contracts in a deal negotiated by @Leah_Knight of @RocNationSports.
Post-draft reaction: John Eric Sullivan means what he says. It’s clear he has a vision for what the team looks like, a true IDENTITY.
I’m cautious, but excited for this build.

I see people liking the Waddle trade, but now second guessing the Willis signing in retrospect. We have to take swings at QB, it’s the only way. Receiver is a question mark, but I like the o-line if we can get a day 1 starter in the draft. Achane is all world (if not traded)
Some news, per source: The Dolphins exercised Tua's 2026 option bonus prior to his release. So his dead cap charge on the Dolphins' 2026 books will be $55.4 M (as opposed to $67 M). His dead cap charge will be $43.8 M in 2027. Gives Dolphins lot more flexibility beginning June 2
If you’re upset with the Malik Willis signing, you fundamentally don’t understand the NFL. They can afford to take a swing on a young talented QB. If he’s the guy, they just got him for cheap. If he’s not, who cares? You’ll have a good pick + cap space in 27/28 to get your guy.
Sources: The #Dolphins are signing #Packers QB Malik Willis, as a new QB has landed in Miami.
He gets a 3-year, $67.5M deal with $45M fully guaranteed in a contract negotiated by @DavidMulugheta of @AthletesFirst.
#Dolphins have already cut the following players,
Tyreek Hill
Bradley Chubb
James Daniels
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
Just like that they go from around -$18M to around $16M in cap space.
The Dolphins are closing in on a deal to hire Jeff Hafley as their head coach, sources tell The Insiders.
Hafley, 46, impressed as the Packers’ defensive coordinator the past two seasons after a stint as Boston College HC. Now he reunites with GM Jon-Eric Sullivan in Miami.
ESPN Sources: Dolphins are hiring former Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley as their head coach. Hafley completed his second interview with the team today and will be their new head coach.
From overnight: The Giants and John Harbaugh are expected to finalize their deal, even though there still are some details to work out, per sources. The Giants are set to soon hire Harbaugh.
