After 20 yrs of struggle with chronic tick borne illnesses, my conclusion: most, if not all indirect testing is notoriously unreliable. Missed bartonella an babesia for 15yrs, even with ‘sophisticated’ tests.
My tip: contact dr. Tarello in Dubai and get tested by DualDur in Hungary.
Lost 15 yrs of my life because of poor test quality. Focus on clinical picture.
Hope you are well soon.
@galehane@Pathogens_MDPI Great to see studies like this finally emerge.
Dr Aguirre and Dr Tarello have been ahead of this game for years.
Direct testing: have a talk with DualDur in 🇭🇺 (Budapest).
Here are my pics. Bartonella and Babesia went undetected foe 10+ years by ´conventional/advanced’ tests.
@louis_ide@IDSAInfo@azJanPalfijn Vraag aan eender welke Lyme patient wat hij van IDSA denkt…
History is not on IDSA’s side. Remind me of this tweet in a few years time.
@gj37726515@RedactedNews@delbigtree And it goes on and on and on.
Guidelines, outdated by decades, keep the gaslightinging going. Conform iso cure.
The ignorance by medical system is shocking.
And we haven’t even talked about babesia and bartonella.
True, and these diseases often LEAD to psychiatric issues.
Most need antibiotics, not antidepressants.
If the knowledge is not in the doctor’s head, they tell you it is in your head.
The resistance to this concept is strange. We figured these things out a long time ago.
The system is slow and dumb, patients get their lives ruined because of it.
@Johnsmemes How would you know 99.9% gone?
What test would that be?
If there is a way to quantify Borrelia load I would be very interested in that.
As far as I know none of the indirect testing methods are able to do that.
Lyme testing is notoriously tricky.
Hope you get better soon.
In Belgium, at least 100.000 chronic patients suffer from chronic infections (Borrelia/Babesia/Bartonella) mostly undetected by conventional antibody testing. 99% have no access to treatment and get gaslighter by their GP (who is completely unfamiliar with the issue).
Most are put in category of burnout/psychiatric. They don’t need a psy, but months of antibiotics combination therapy. There is an entire burnout industry with close to zero succes because they don’t address this issue.
I am able to to work and pay taxes because of priveledged access to treatment (abroad or below the radar). None of the other patients I know are able to work because no access to treatment.
You cannot even imagine how widespread the problem is. Guidelines are 20 yrs behind the science.
An field expert on the subject told me: “Politics are panicking because of the size of the problem, I showed them the science, but NVA doesn’t want to invest and the socialists don’t want to solve the problem”.
Remind me of this tweet in 10 yrs, history will not be kind to the current treatment of patients.
I have thousands of cases: 99% of doctors are unable to correctly diagnose borrelia/babesia/bartonella infections.
The lack of knowledge is chocking, all while pretending to have expertise on the matter.
I am convinced it is one of the main drivers of increasing chronic illness.
Most are qualified as burnout or depression.
Clinical practice in this area lags 20 yrs behind on science.
Thousands of lives ruined.
Belgium is bad, Netherlands even worse. Most doctors act as state employees.
Germany seems better, easier to get access to treatment.
It’s a real disgrace.
History will not be kind (I hope)
I tried it for 2 weeks, did nothing for me.
(Borrelia + to lesser degree babesia / bartonella)
Now doing:
*clofazimine + dapsone (as per Embers / Horowitz)
+ Bee Venom Therapy as per Ellie Lobel
Combi makes me herx for weeks.
I add ivermectin + occasional Cortexin for inflammation control
Know several patients on clofazimine/dapsone(+doxy or mino) combi, all herx like crazy.
I tried everything in the books (azlocillin/ hygromicin A). Did help a bit, but felt like scratching the surface.
This combi is different I believe 😊
That’s one of the first things I learned as a patient with Borrelia / babesia / bartonella.
Many are unable/unwilling to draw logical conclusions, most parrot guidelines.
It’s worse than most people think, and (here in the EU) its getting worse every year.
Most patients in this community are left to rot.
DualDur Lyme/Bartonella/Babesia testing
(Hungarian company).
Interesting test as it can give a quantitative indication of pathogen load
(problem: clinical symptoms are nor necessarily representative for treatment efficacy)
Years of antibiotics: no clearance of borrelia...
Tip to sharpen your knowledge on toxicity of BV:
-contact Dr. Jayakumar Rajadas from Stanford
-read Elli Lobels book.
If what you say is true I would have been dead a long time ago.
Using it to treat Borrelia / Babesia / Bartonella infections. Works like a charm.
As usual, dosing is key.
