“You are not too far gone that you can’t get it back … feel distant from God? You can get that back! … He’s quick to forgive and slow to anger and He’s waiting for you to run back into His arms!”
-Phillip Anthony Mitchell
Christian singer Matthew West shared a powerful story about taking his daughter to camp. During an exercise, the daughters were blindfolded and the dads were told to guide them through the woods after repeating three instructions: I will never leave you. You can ask me anything. And only listen for my voice.
At first, he could guide her easily. Then the counselors signaled for him to remove his hand. He was no longer allowed to speak unless his daughter remembered she could ask him anything. Eventually, they got off track on their hike and a counselor quietly led her into a ditch without her realizing it.
After standing there blindfolded and confused, she finally asked, “Dad, are you there?”
Matthew said he teared up as he answered, “Yeah. I’m here.”
This moment reminded him how often we forget the same truths about God: that He never leaves us, we can ask Him anything, and we need to listen for His voice.
They don’t realize how foolish they sound when they say men are jealous or threatened because women are now making money. Modern men didn’t grow up in some oppressed era….we never lived that reality.
We went to school with women. We were raised by working mothers. We have sisters with degrees, daughters in classrooms, and wives who earn money and still cook, clean, and run homes. So stop pretending this is new or scary to us. It’s normal.
Men don’t care that women make money. We’ve always been around it. What we care about is cooperation, stability, and family. Wanting a woman who can cook, clean, and nurture a home isn’t about control…it’s biology and common sense. Those traits signal that his investment and offspring will be taken care of.
Money doesn’t replace femininity, just like a paycheck doesn’t make a man a leader or a provider. These preferences aren’t social constructs you can shame away. Society changes…biology doesn’t.
@demcowboysfan This was in the safety, you gotta look at the all 22 on this one, Q saw the misread and sprinted after him but they weren’t even that close to each other
Lot of silliness floating around about the Bible and Nicaea. Unfortunately @RealAdamAllred repeats a lot of that here. But I think we should all take Adam’s advice when he says that we should “be honest with ourselves and start listening to the truth that is behind it, and if you doubt me, do your own research.” Hopefully this is an encouragement for Adam to take his own advice in this particular topic.
Sex is for marriage between a man and his wife. Any sex outside of that is immoral.
“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous” (Hebrews 13:4).
