Why is this info being restricted? Why isn’t there a list of accessible toilets that you manage on the website? In the hubs and libraries? You are failing disabled people for whom this information is VITAL

@cardiffcouncil wont give me a list of council run public toilets in Cardiff without emailing privately
I personally feel this this information should be publicly available, publicised as much as possible and shared. Not everyone has emails @huwthomas_Wales. Show leadership pls?
When you're out getting coffee today, please take an extra few seconds to get the code from your receipt or server and send it over to us (DM you'd prefer to be anon) 💫
@brainsbrewery you seem to have a few places signed up the to Cardiff Community Toilet Scheme.. thanks! Do you have a list of everywhere you don’t need to be a paying customer to use one of your toilets?
Thank you so much to @baroccocardiff for signing up to the Cardiff Community Toilet Scheme! The residents of Cardiff appreciate it hugely. There is an accessible toilet on ground floor with no stairs - right in the middle of the city centre.
@NifieldPhillip@cardiffcouncil Yes it would be useful, and there are plenty of people who don’t have access to email who would like this information. People without phones, computers. I appreciate it’s a modern era but you can’t leave people behind. @huwthomas_Wales
@cardiffcouncil do you have a list of a toilets in council facilities in Cardiff that are open to the public? I can see the list of community toilet scheme participants but nothing about public facilities. Thanks! #quickquerycdf
Thank you @BlackweirTavern for signing up to the Community Toilet Scheme! If you’re ever stuck on North Road you don’t need to be a customer to use the loo, and I’ve just been told there are no steps so wheelchair accessible 😇

"You're out and about, when it suddenly hits you. You gotta go. There's no public toilet that you can see nearby. However, there are plenty of coffee shops. You pop into one, probably run by a big chain, and head straight for the loo. Except you're thwarted. By a keypad."
@baroccocardiff is one of the businesses signed up to @cardiffcouncil’s community toilet scheme. Thank you! With such a central location this could help so so many people.

Really interesting piece by @PhoebeRad!
“CARDIFF has closed 10 public toilets since 2010, taking the total number of council-run public facilities available to residents down to 18.”
That’s in a city of 350,000 people.
