At The For Baby’s Sake Trust, we are committed to breaking the cycles of trauma and domestic abuse that affect generations.
Today, on #CareDay 2025, we are proud to announce the launch of our For My Future pilot programme, a trauma-informed therapeutic approach to support #CareExperienced young people to develop healthy relationships for life.
A driving force for this work is the significant lack of support for emotional health and wellbeing for #YoungPeople leaving care. It is preventative, not reactive—an opportunity to address trauma and empower young people with the knowledge and skills to foster healthy #Relationships.
Our flagship programme, For Baby’s Sake, has demonstrated remarkable success in empowering parents to address domestic abuse and give their babies the best start in life. Through this work, we’ve seen the transformative power of therapeutic relationships to address trauma and break cycles of abuse.
For My Future builds on our experience working with many care-experienced young parents—to extend our support to a wider cohort of care-experienced young people—empowering them to build healthy relationships and navigate adulthood with confidence.

We support #CareDay and created BWASO to show everyone in care that there are people who care about your future. There are no barriers to success. Whatever you dream, you can achieve. You are capable, you matter, and you will shine.

Making sure every child grows up in a safe and loving family environment is personal to me.
It is great to be working with @BarryKeoghan on reforming children’s social care around the world.
⚠️ 18+ miles is the distance a child in care is moved, on average, from the people and places they know.
🚨 It doesn’t have to be this way.
⬇️ Join our campaign #GoneTooFar to keep children close to people & places that matter to them.

Good to be at @ThisIsUniteFdn and @SMFthinktank roundtable today with Minister @JanetDaby to discuss how we can better support care experienced students to succeed in higher education & rec's in this latest report 👇 https://t.co/NuR9XakVfP
Councils are treating teenagers like homeless adults and placing them in unsuitable temporary housing rather than taking them into care. Local authorities are “waiting out the clock” until vulnerable 16- and 17-year-olds can be classed as adults.
