@JJ79926919@SecDuffy Majority of the workforce has not seen a pay raise. We can’t even get 2.8% raise that Congress already passed! They lowered our staffing targets by 2000 controllers. And they didnt hire controllers, they hired trainees. Of those 2000 trainees only about 100-200 will fully certify
@Jec599@Richardroark81@SecDuffy Those facilities only function when controllers work 6 days a week 10 hour days continuously. 4 days off a month. You don’t think that causes sickness or fatigue? Controllers get no praise from this admin when they come in on OT but when they call in sick it’s now an issue? GTFO.
@nursejeans@SecDuffy Respectfully you just don’t understand the work that goes into ATC. You are trying to simplify a very complex profession. Even the best controllers in each facility have to be retrained if they are away from the operation for more than 30 days. A veteran on stand by is ignorant.
@SecDuffy@FAANews Absolutely pathetic on your end. Had faith when you first took over that you actually cared about improving ATC and the controllers who work 6 days a week to hold this system up. Clearly you don’t. Just another weak incompetent grifter in this administration.
@SecDuffy None of this will matter if you continue to ignore stagnant ATC wages. Staffing wont be fixed and the new equipment won’t make things safer if you have an overworked and underpaid staff using it. Modernizing ATC would increase safety in just about every facet. Make it happen!
@SecDuffy@FAANews Just because you hire applicants doesn’t make them controllers. This type of post is so misleading and disappointing from you. Countless data out there that out of a pool of 8000 applicants, maybe 800 will become fully certified in 3 years. That’s not fixing staffing. Enough BS.
@charlieINTEL Im a gamer and controller. I wouldnt recommend this career at the moment. The pay has not kept up with the rising costs for everything. You’ll get sent to an area you won’t want to be and will have to work weekends and holidays your first 10 years in. Go get a remote job instead
@FAANews The best and brightest are not interested in this career field under this current pay. Why would they be? They’d rather just go work remote for the same or more pay and not have to work weekends or nights. Truly want the best and brightest? Update the pay and increase it!
@ColdFellowGames@SecDuffy@FAANews It is that simple. The FAA has tried everything except a pay raise and wonder why the staffing is perpetually short. And it’s about to get a whole lot worse these next few years if nothing is done for pay.
@SecDuffy@awscloud@ATCA_now None of this will matter if you continue to let controller wages stagnate as everything else gets more expensive. The most important equipment you have is the controllers themselves! Invest in them! The best and brightest won’t apply to become ATC with these wages. Fix ATC pay!
@SecDuffy@POTUS You don’t even talk about ATC anymore… what happened? Nothing is different from even 10 years ago. Get your act together and advocate for ATC. More important than staffing and equipment is modernizing ATC salary. It’s stagnated for too long and needs a huge update. Fix ATC pay!
@SecDuffy@POTUS The entire workforce needs a pay upgrade. There shouldn’t be controllers having to work paycheck to paycheck. You wouldn’t want your airline pilots working paycheck to paycheck and experience financial hardship. Make ATC like airline pilot pay! You can do this!
@SecDuffy@POTUS You keep changing your stance every single day. ATC does not need these extra distractions. Take care of this care field not attack it. I still believe in you but I am losing faith in your capabilities.
