I have been impacted by teaching and wanted to leave the same impact. This has led me to study Early Elemntary and Special Education at Grove City College '23.
"For White Folks Who Teach in the Hood…and the Rest of Y'all Too", is an eye-opening book about engaging with inner-city students in an impactful way. @chrisemdin what do you think is the most important thing for a teacher considering teaching in the inner-city to know?#GCCEDU
I found this video to be super encouraging and it reminded me that people with special needs make the world a better and brighter place! #SpecialEducation

Similarly, there is discrimination in the school systems, like tracking, and educators also need to seek change. We are advocates for equality and justice for our students.

Georgia lawmakers are working to repeal a citizen's arrest law. They are trying to fix the system after the death of Ahmaud Arbery and the recognition of racism that led to the law. https://t.co/TzL9F7RN80
2020 has been a hard year for most of us but especially for those who have lost their homes. The number of homeless people in the United States is higher than most people realize. As educators, it will be our job to make sure all of our students feel safe and ready to learn.
With the new legislation to help undocumented immigrants get citizenship, undocumented students will hopefully feel more at peace in the classroom and will be able to spend more of their energy on their studies. I can not wait to be a teacher of impact to all my students.
Just used @Flipgrid for the first time and it was really fun and worked well. I wrote all about it on my digital portfolio under the "Tech Tools" page. Here is a link to my portfolio: https://t.co/2VvsdMU113. Would highly recommend using @Flipgrid for interactive discussions.
Just finished #educationmajor day, thanks to all the upcoming students who attended and the students at Grove City College who helped lead it. Thanks to the professors who also helped give their insight. We were so excited to share about GCC's ed program. @GroveCtyCollege
Last week I had the opportunity to teach a review lesson on pronouns and antecedents as my last day at my field. I have spent the last month working in this classroom. The students were such a joy and it was so amazing to be back in the classroom.

So glad I could be apart of this. What an awesome opportunity, I hope it helps to spread knowledge about social stories. #gccedu#futureteacher @SFecich @SarahManske6 @Buncee
As teachers it is our job to show and model love and respect to students, coworkers and parents of any race. It is also our duty to help educate our kids to the issues of this world and how to listen to others. #gccedu
I participated in two IRIS Center(https://t.co/bKJMga3Hhq)courses about disruptive behavior. IRIS has many courses to help teachers continue to learn and expand their knowledge. I wrote about the courses on my blog page:https://t.co/dgmxPc790M. #futureteacherslead#BetterTogether
@abby_jank @SFecich So glad I could provide this to real students, @abby_jank has literally been such a blessing to work with and you can see her true passion for teaching and her love for her class.
Discussed in the webinar was how UDL is not a state to be in but a growing process that encourages variability in learners. The goal of the webinar was to empower educators and administrators to overcome any obstacles to implementing UDL. Overall the webinar had a lot to say.#UDL
Just finished a webinar, https://t.co/fH62nNVSNa, “Why UDL is Tough to Implement and Five Necessary Components to *Really* Make UDL Happen”. Led by @DonJohnstonInc @hillarygfphdatp, the webinar was wonderful and Dr. Hillary Goldthwait-Fowles brought up some interesting ideas.
