So water companies say they want to increase our bills by 40% do they?
Let me remind them. Water companies have a statutory obligation to build, operate and maintain sewage systems capable of "effectually dealing" "with the contents of this sewers". @ofwat letter June 21 (1/2)
There are so many green spaces in our towns and villages that are over-mown or sprayed, but which could instead be boosting biodiversity and bringing nature back into our lives like this corner of Cambridge. RT if you agree 🐝
1. The study has NOT found any virus likely to infect people in the foreseeable future.
2. 'potential' is a great way of whipping up the media (and LOTS of money).
3. SARS-CoV2 (Covid) has never been found in bats.
3. I collected those horseshoe bat samples.

The REUL Bill was again debated in the House of Lords yesterday. Unfortunately, the Bill has now been agreed and will become law without the amendments we hoped to see.
We are hugely disappointed by the unwillingness of the government to ensure our nature protections remain strong in the face of ever-growing threats to UK nature and the environment.
The government 'talks the talk' on wanting to leave nature in a better state for future generations, but has failed to 'walk the walk' and declined to build sensible environmental safeguards into law, despite every effort by peers to strengthen the Bill.
We are concerned that the Bill leaves us in a situation where this and future governments could make significant changes to vital environmental protections without going through a robust democratic process.
Ministers have made on the record commitments to uphold environmental standards and consult before making changes. We must and will remain vigilant to ensure these pledges are upheld.
Shot dead because they're no longer fit enough to keep up with the pack. This is how co-called 'trail hunts' treat the hounds they claim to love.

Come on @broxtowebc, surely there’s ABSOLUTELY NO REASON that you can logically give for the mulching of valuable #wildflowers in one of your green spaces?? Can you honestly say this looks better than it did when it was full of colour and life? Please can we assess your maintenance schedule?
Why can’t you adopt a #NoMowSummer and cut once in September/October?
A barge forced a swan family through a double lock yesterday morning. There’s a very real chance of the birds being crushed to death between the lock walls and boat, with the operator showing little concern for the welfare of the birds when approached by a member of the public.
This row of ash trees along a Dunkeld road in Scotland show the range of ash dieback disease impacts. Wonderful trees are dying, but their death is creating hugely valuable standing dead wood habitat. As big trees die and fall apart, try to leave standing trunks for wildlife.
4 Swift Chicks (from 2 nests) put in a box & left outside #PetsinNeed Bury, today. Undoubtedly been a reroofing job and 2 pairs of Swifts have been disturbed, maybe the home owners did not know they had nesting #Swifts but the adults have now lost homes & offspring. So very sad.
Across the UK people watch news and are told that their lives depend on #biodiversity. Then, like automatons, they go out and mow their lawns, parks and roadside verges, erasing the wildflowers and grasses that insects depend on for their food and lifecycle.
BREAKING - the Agriculture (Wales) Bill has just passed the final stage in the Senedd, making Wales the first in the UK to introduce full bans on snares and glue traps 🙌
A big thank you/diolch to the Members of the Senedd who have made today a momentous day for animals in 🏴
Our leaders are standing by while nature is destroyed.
The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world - time is running out to save and restore what's left.

I looked at my plots today & realised that every single plant is there because of me!🤔🤯😂
I'm managing 600 sq m space, 37 beds, 1 x poly, 2 x greenhouses.
Me! I am the Head Gardener here 😎😂
It's amazing to have this power to turn neglected spaces into something productive!😊
