Just cancelled my @PostcodeLottery subscription. I'm not having my hard earned money going to illegal immigrants.... Have enough of that with my tax! 🤬
I’m not being funny … but.. ffs these two can’t possibly be fit enough to catch a robber …
Shouldn’t there be a fitness test every 6 months for serving officers ?
😡Jeremy Clarkson’s sheep STOLEN in night raid at Diddly Squat as FURIOUS star tells thieves: “Put them back!” 🐑
Jeremy Clarkson has told The Sun that 11 Easycares were stolen from a secluded field at Diddly Squat. He only realised when he and Kaleb counted the flock this week: 16 left out of 27. More may be missing from another field a mile away.
No carcasses. No droppings in the woods. A gate left open days earlier. Police say the theft was unwitnessed and happened at some point over the last ten days. The missing animals were breeding stock, worth more than £2,000 at the prices Clarkson had just got at market, and more if sold for meat.
His message to the thieves was blunt: “Put them back!”
Then the warning: “It’s a farm. We’re armed. Just so they know. It p!sses me off. Honestly, it just p!sses me off.”
He says reporting it felt ridiculous: “I know it’s going to sound like I’m from 1856, but I’ve had some sheep stolen.”
The operator had clearly seen the show. Clarkson said she replied: “Oh, not your Easycares.”
They still cannot pin down the night it happened: “I don’t even know when it happened. We came down yesterday, Kaleb and I, and actually counted sheep, which is quite difficult to do without dozing off. There are 11 that have gone missing from this field, and we think there are some missing from the other field.”
The loss is not small change: “I just sold 24 of them at the sheep market the other day, and they went for £205 each, so it’s over £2,000 of sheep gone missing.”
He thinks that is exactly why someone took the risk: “If you’ve been in a butcher’s recently and looked at the price of lamb . . . this is a crime you can commit with literally nobody (seeing).”
The money is one thing. The animals are another: “The sheep are going to be eaten. But it’s not our butchers that can sell it. They’re very good sheep. It’s upset me . . . you can’t ever form a bond with a sheep. Anyone who has anything stolen, it’s awful. But to have animals stolen, it’s really galling. They were happy here. This is my favourite field on the farm.”
To him, it does not feel like 2026. “It just feels like we’re in the 17th century here . . . sheep rustling.”
Asked what he would do if he found the thieves on the farm, he did not hesitate. “I’ll be pretty cross. I would lock the gate, lock them in. Then they can’t get their car out.”
Kaleb Cooper:
“We must have counted them maybe 30 times, and the majority of the time we did get it wrong, but there are definitely 11 missing. It’s weird to think that they would do it here because we’re filming literally every day. But at the same time, it’s not uncommon.”
“Who’s watching them at 11 o’clock? All they’ve got to do is put a few lights up, or a torch, run the dog around them, put them into a bunch, load them up, and off they go.”
Charlie Ireland:
“There are a few cases where people were actually slaughtering them in the field. There’s no evidence that happened here.”
“They haven’t even stolen the fat lambs, they’ve stolen the breeding stock, which is just frustrating.”
“There will be a sense of violation. There’s a theft, it’s like somebody breaking into your house.”
Thames Valley Police:
“Thames Valley Police is investigating the theft of a number of sheep from a farm in Chadlington. The theft has occurred at some point over the last ten days and was unwitnessed. The theft was reported to the force on Wednesday. No arrests have been made. We would ask anybody who has information that may assist this investigation to contact Thames Valley Police.”
