@OneManLBO I had a similar background as you and when I did it, it became one of the more defining moves of my life. The path you’re taking is absolutely worth it, and you’ll knock it out of the park. Best of luck and see you around !
@braden_live @bentigg@stevanslusher ... on 2nd Q) I guess the ol' "it depends". Yes, sometimes insufficient. *Can be* sufficient if GP doesn't have $, but they REALLY have to have a lot to lose post-close. Cash $ contributed by GP is a real signaling effect re: skin in game. This space but other asset classes too
@bentigg@stevanslusher @braden_live ...obviously as you well know, some of those deals get done and they clear the market (BUT with LPs not really knowing they, the LP, could do much better). To many others who *otherwise would invest*, the ask is a red flag on GP as soon as they see it. Agree? Thoughts? <end>
@bentigg@stevanslusher @braden_live ...so we're seeing too many GPs do this "step up" (implicitly or explicitly) to try to own 70-80%+ of common with no/minimal skin in game, but it ignores the debt, which LP payment streams are also affected by (again, conflates the EVs, as another reply below mentions) (con't)...
@NowackKatarzyna Check out @NorthmanTrader and @DiMartinoBooth , as some favorites plus probably a bunch more I’m forgetting. Maybe @themarketear for data updates. Enjoy and have a good day!
@geniuslink Thanks guys. Would love to learn more about your product (incl Choice Pages) and have a few specific questions. Which would be the best email?
@MatthewLevyCFA@rjgcoach@leadlagreport Not flattening (yet) :( as that chart looks like a log scale. See daily data today 4/6/20 - on a linear scale still skyrocketing unfortunately :-/
@isdtaxlaw@TaxHacker Look at Page 8, Example 2 tho - ICs are included here - believe as of 4/2/20 evening it still counts, which is what guidance seemed to be earlier this wk #taxtwitter
