Very interesting chart. I suspect some investors do not realize how much cash some of these companies are spending but it’s being capitalized over many years.
The United States Personal Saving Rate has declined to 2.6%.
Since our data begins (in 1959) there has only been once instance when the rate was lower, in the summer of 2005 (2.2%).
US savings rates are at historic lows right now.
One of the great political moves by the left in recent years has been convincing a large portion of America that "the rich" don’t pay taxes and it’s all poor people, when the exact opposite is true.
The Top 1% pay 46% of all income taxes.
The Top 10% pay 76% of all income taxes.
This is probably my favorite clip ever:
"Capitalism created the possibility of the win-win-win. It used to be a zero-sum game where somebody won, somebody else lost. And the biggest mistake people make, intellectuals in particular, they still think we’re in a zero-sum world. They’re obsessed with some billionaires because Bernie Sanders thinks that Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk somehow stole the money from the people. They don’t understand that it’s this prosperity machine that’s creating more, not just for those billionaires, but for everything that they’re touching…”
Capitalism lifts everyone up. I agree wholeheartedly with this and the message in it.
"Technology sector insiders keep buying (The chart shows the total number of corporate insiders of companies covered by the XLK ETF that have bought shares on the open market during the past six months). Make of it what you will"

Opens chart: (literally every time)
Constellation Software $CSU is now down 52%, the largest drawdown in its 20-year history.
The company is now trading as if AI will disrupt its entire business. At its current valuation, the company outperforms almost all other companies on the “Rule of 40.”
It will take a few quarters for the market to realize that AI is not taking away business from Constellation
Think about it: There is next to no chance that a telecom or mining business that has worked with a vendor for 10+ years and fine-tuned the software to cater to their business perfectly is suddenly going to vibe-code an alternative just to save 0.1% of their revenue in software costs.
