@jasonfried@fabianhtml If you ever need help with that, let me know. I'm the founder of Approximated, which can handle the the SSL provisioning at scale for you. It has a self hosted package and is meant for scale (we've served over a million domains so far).
@valsopi Yeah, it's why I've mostly moved over to bluesky. A lot of tech people moved over this month and it doesn't have algorithm problems like that. I mostly come back here to check for tweets from a few people but I'll probably stop soon.
The Bluesky custom algos are a killer feature.

It's endlessly better than the FYP that shows me a bunch of stuff I don't care about.
What's the point of sticking around here if it artificially limits your reach anyways? There's less and less to lose, with more and more reason to leave.
@zeeg Exactly. Every day it seems a little bit worse here and pretty soon it's not going to feel like losing much.
It's losing the interesting people to either disinterest, other networks, or occasionally they turn to engagement farming and stop being interesting.
@edgarasben If you want to build it yourself then Caddy server is a good place to start!
If you'd rather have it handled for you then you might like @approximatedapp which is built specifically for this (I'm the founder).
Shipped self hosted plans for @approximatedapp!
If you need to:
A) Automate user custom domains for your SaaS.
B) Keep SSL certs and traffic on your own servers.
Then this is for you!
@mike_grant_@themkmaker I'm the founder, good question!
A lot of our customers have been bitten by DIY solutions and just don't want to worry anymore. Issues tend to be obscure, urgent, and stressful.
