I simply do not understand how we, as a country, tolerate the hypocrisy of indicting Raúl Castro for defending Cuban airspace — while our own government celebrates the extrajudicial assassinations of innocent fishermen sailing across the sea below.
From the way people speak about the French Revolution, you'd be forgiven for believing that it was a uniquely bloody and violent event. It was not. Around 30,000 people were killed over 2 years - in 1798, the British would kill 50,000 in Ireland in under 6 months
The idea is to find a group of people most people regard as terrible examples, use them to make revoking passports a more acceptable form of punishment, then expand it from there.
This is what American foreign policy is going to look like for the near term: we take some aggressive unilateral action against somebody and then act shocked (maybe *are* genuinely shocked) when they retaliate and leave us in a worse position than before.
We will repeat this process until we have sufficiently disarmed ourselves militarily and economically, a scenario we are speed running toward.
I have to admit I'm fascinated by the sort of Protestantizing/Evangelicalism of Catholicism that seems to be happening on the Right, in part because it makes so much sense in hindsight. The appeal of mainline Protestantism to many is that it's personal and individual, you do you, but the Right simultaneously craves hierarchy, validation, and historical heft. They want to be a free agent who is also part of a powerful, important, ancient tradition but that also requires nothing of them.
hard not to notice this source theyre trying to put away for life is a woman whistleblowing on sexual harassment she experienced, truly a central continuous through line of this government is being pro-rape and sexual violence on all fronts and in all fields possible
They keep bringing us to the edge of the abyss and cancelling armageddon at the last possible moment so a coalition of otherwise unemployable benzo addicts, tech millenarians, zionist child molesters and podcast christians can buy the dips
So the big thing that is going to come out of this is that the US is losing militarily to Iran and Russia, and would probably lose to China. The problem was that the defense budget was just a racket to make people rich and was never set up to fight a 21st century war.
@nkulw generations of consistent operation cannibalized by these rubes who think they are the point of the wedge for ideological revolution but actually are convenient, useful idiot patsies for their annihilation by being ran by VC guys like private equity acquisitions
Im hearing that on his deathbed Chuck Norris received the light of Islam, and unhesistatingly recited the Shahada. Even now he looks down on the Ummah from the gardens of Jannah. Truly there is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet!
36 years of sanctions on Iran, 65 years on Cuba, 20 on Venezuela etc. The intellectual, material and rhetorical ground for everything we're seeing was sown by Democrats as much as Republicans. Trump isn't an aberration, he's the logical conclusion, the inevitable trigger man
