The second cohort of our Policy Writing Fellowship has been nothing short of remarkable. Congratulations to all the fellows graduating today.
🚨 New Publication Alert...
Our latest policy paper posits that industrial policy, now back in vogue, is not futile; but to profit from it, Nigeria needs to learn from her own history and prioritise sequencing and critical business infrastructure. 👇🏾

Soldiers accompanied MC Oluomo to take over the national secretariat of the NURTW in defiance of a court judgement sacking him?
Is this the country that we want to bestow on our children?

“Advocacy actors should facilitate access for vulnerable communities to speak out and demand justice themselves.”
— Abdullahi Ibrahim
#HumAngleShowcase25
The Rwanda genocide didn’t begin with machetes — it began with dangerous stereotypes that dehumanised an entire group.
Nigeria must take note. Yes, there are hundreds of violent criminals who happen to be Fulani, just as there are Muslim extremists. But they represent a tiny fraction of their communities. And are Christians or any group immune to crime or violence? Absolutely not. Every community has its share of offenders and millions of law-abiding citizens. One of those law-abiding Fulani is the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations.
When the government fails to protect its citizens, fear fills the vacuum, and that fear can be mischaracterised, then escalate into hate, and ultimately become something far worse. We must confront insecurity head-on, without criminalising entire ethnic or religious groups.
Meanwhile:
1. A Brigadier General was abducted and executed by terrorists.
2. Schools girls in Kebbi state were abducted from their school. None was rescued so far!
3. Locals in Northern part of the country were left to fend for themselves against merciless attacks by terrorists.
When are we going to wake up to these bastards???
We are pleased to see the lessons from #HTCIF2025 being shared widely as Abdullahi Ibrahim @CartographerNG trained 22 participants on Generative AI and Data collection in Storytelling.
His project uses data to amplify visibility and inclusion for internally displaced youths.
Notice how Natasha's case even as a Senator is slowly disappearing?
Now, imagine the struggles of ordinary Nigerians seeking justice when even notorious bandits are forgiven & rehabilitated back into communities they once killed, raped, destroyed businesses in.
