One employee/officer is now expected to function as cashier, clerk, marketing officer, recovery agent, compliance officer, insurance seller, and a new role - Census worker
New slaves of Vikshit Bharat ?
@DFS_India@nsitharaman
Fat-Boy SBI Wants More Mergers , But Where’s the Innovation?
When the “Fat-Boy” SBI — already built by swallowing 7 banks (SBH, SBBJ, SBM, SBP, SBT, SBI Indore & Bharatiya Mahila Bank) — asks for another round of mergers, one question becomes unavoidable:
What has SBI innovated to serve ordinary and poor customers better?
SBI today controls 55% of PSU banking because of mergers, not because of ground-level service excellence.
If not for those acquisitions, HDFC Bank would probably be India’s largest bank today.
And here’s the real issue:
Bigger banks don’t automatically mean better service
More branches don’t mean faster decisions
Larger balance sheets don’t guarantee rural outreach
Consolidation ≠ Innovation
In banking , just like health adding more cream doesn’t make the cake healthier.
Instead of demanding another round of mergers, India’s largest bank should first demonstrate:
simpler products for the poor,
faster loan processing,
tech that reduces paperwork,
empowered branch staff,
transparent and fair pricing,
real customer experience improvements.
Because size can be built by mergers,
but trust is built only through innovation.
Govt directives to tackle PSB staff stress sound good , but only on paper?
Govt says PSBs must tackle employee stress — but how, when HR itself is the main culprit?
Circulating officers across banks instead of recruiting new POs has created a chronic staff deficit everywhere.
LBO/CBO recruitments fill chairs, not strength.
No one should sit in HR for over 5 years in their entire career. At least 66% field exposure must be mandatory before promotion to Scale IV+.
Without fixing HR’s flawed policies, all these ‘stress action plans’ will remain just paperwork.
Reform HR first , rest will follow.
@DFS_India@nsitharaman
@idesibanda Only hidden agenda is privatisation. Govt only want to shut down govt bank. They are smartly reduce 27 psb bank to 12 and now want to reduce it upto 3.
Our comrades or their family members can and should file FIR under section 127 of BNS against circle heads who order to apply day end check on branches.
This we can start from Monday itself .
@ChVenkatachalam@DFS_India@FinMinIndia इससे बकवास करवा लो बस। 5 डे बैंकिंग की तो ऐसी तैसी कर दी। ना तो सही तरीके से settlement किया ना ही #5DaysBanking ऊपर से ये बकचोदी। You are a villain of every bankers in India.
With a big bang our2 days hugely popular and highly successful strike ends today . comrades you all have created a history by going on solo strike for 2 days just before Diwali this every comrade who went on 2 days strike sacrificed on an average 8 to 12000 rs .
Federation owes a debt to all such comrades for their sacrifices for causes which relates to every pnbian and all 20 lakh employees associated with the banking industry.
With these 2 days strike we have demolished many myths that officers can not go on a solo strike , unions always call off strike ,minority union / association kuchh nahi kar sakti .
Hamne woh kar dikhaya jisko bade bade association karne ki himmat nahi dekhate .
In terms of participation we have beaten all past records .
Mighty proud of my comrades .
Now all of you deserve enjoyment from a 2 day holiday . Every comrade and every officer bearers of federation deserve a big round of appreciation from the federation top leadership.
From my side you all deserve a party .
A section of management tried their best to sabotage our struggle but united we won .
And aage bhi ham jitenge .
Lal salam
Krishna Kumar GS AIPNBOF
Personally I do not need 5 days banking week
Personally I do not need
Perquisite tax reimbursement
Personally I do not need
Medical aid arrears
Personally I do not need SFF maintenance on a declaration basis
Personally day end check does not affect me
Personally I am not affected by the threshold limit .
Because I am retired from bank services.
Yet I took this huge risk for my federation going on solo strike
Because I can't live peacefully with the deteriorating service and working condition of young bankers .
Personally I get disturbed when I read young bankers committing suicide due to stress pressure and uncouth bosses .
So as general secretary of AIPNBOF i talked to my fellow office bearers and central committee members and went for a 2 day strike today and tomorrow.
A personal request to all comrades of AIPNBOF.
All of you must remain on strike today and tomorrow.
It is a matter of prestige for your federation which has always tried to provide you a protective umbrella whenever you all have needed .
Now it is your turn to stand up for your federation which has given a strike call for your better tomorrow.
Your general secretary
Krishna Kumar
