The first project I worked on at my new job is now in production 🎉: an ultra-portable radio studio for remote broadcasts. The software serves as a controller for the large amount of equipment that used to be brought to the remote locations.

The virtual studio makes it possible to broadcast from unusual locations. However, the experience differs from what radio hosts are used to in classical radio studios, hence we also support hardware controllers with faders to provide a more similar experience.

@otaviolemos @laci_noire They were secretly not actually transparent 🤫 but had a black background that the switcher "keyed" out (which did mean I had to use very dark grey instead of black on the slides😅). Pretty sure you can do something similar with a tool like OBS :)

@otaviolemos @laci_noire Thanks! I actually used a hardware video switcher (ATEM Mini Extreme) as the heart of the operation, Keynote for the slides, and QLab for video playback and to tie everything together so that I only had to press a single button to trigger the next video/slide/transition etc. :)

Enabling TestAxis only requires you to add a few lines to your CI build script and to install the IDE plugin.

It supports Java and Kotlin with Gradle out of the box. Other build tools can be used with a custom configuration.
