Every dog-bite case was manipulated. The numbers were inflated. The media was bought by this influential minister to make the isolated incidents amplified into a nationwide panic

And for what?!!

Three years ago, animal welfare groups sounded the alarm when a draft Livestock Bill classified dogs and cats as "livestock" and commodities under an import-export framework. Activists across the country opposed it, fearing it could pave the way for commercial exploitation of dogs and cats. The backlash was so strong that the draft bill was eventually withdrawn!

And then came the game plan.

A fake narrative was pushed, banking on the fact that people would never question the numbers, the claims, or the agenda behind them.

Dog haters swallowed the propaganda whole. Every day, fake news, exaggerated stories, and fear campaigns were amplified across media and social media platforms.

And who is paying the price?

The dogs.

Innocent community dogs are suffering because of someone's greed, someone's agenda, and the willingness of people to believe sensational narratives without demanding evidence.

Three years ago, attempts to classify dogs and cats as "livestock" triggered massive opposition from animal welfare groups across the country. That effort faced resistance.

Today, we are witnessing a different strategy, one built on fear, misinformation, and manufactured outrage.

And now, in at least one state, steps towards legalizing dog meat are reportedly already underway.

The evidence is attached.

The question is:

1. How many lies will people believe before they start asking who benefits from this narrative?

2. And how many dogs will suffer before the truth finally comes out?

No. But we still highly value education because it teaches civic sense, humanity, and guides our future. It prepares us to navigate the world.
The rabies vaccine doesn't change the dog's behavior or put an invisible shield around your skin. It equips your immune system. It's education for your body's defense layout.
Don't confuse a tool that mitigates the consequences of a risk with a tool that eliminates the risk entirely. Education improves society; vaccines save your life when society (or a dog) bites.

कुत्ते इंसानों की तरह पूरे शरीर से पसीना नहीं बहाते। वे मुख्य रूप से हांफकर (Panting) अपने शरीर की गर्मी बाहर निकालते हैं। इसलिए गर्मी में किसी कुत्ते का:

• बहुत तेज़ हांफना
• मुंह से लार टपकना
• बेचैन होकर इधर-उधर घूमना
• छांव या ठंडी जगह खोजते रहना
• चिड़चिड़ा या थोड़ा आक्रामक दिखना
• ज़मीन पर लेट जाना

ये रेबीज का संकेत नहीं होता। कई बार यह अत्यधिक गर्मी, हीट स्ट्रेस या हीट स्ट्रोक का संकेत हो सकता है।

रेबीज:
♦ व्यवहार में असामान्य बदलाव
♦ बिना उकसावे काटने की कोशिश
♦ निगलने में कठिनाई
♦ पानी से डर (Hydrophobia)
♦ तंत्रिका तंत्र संबंधी लक्षण

हीट स्ट्रोक / गर्मी से परेशानी:
✅ तेज़ हांफना
✅ अत्यधिक लार टपकना
✅ छांव खोजते रहना
✅ कमजोरी, चक्कर, लड़खड़ाना
✅ शरीर का तापमान बढ़ जाना
✅ ठंडा पानी और ठंडी जगह मिलने पर सुधार

⭕ आप क्या कर सकते हैं?

🌳 अपने घर या मोहल्ले के आसपास छांव की व्यवस्था होने दें।
🌱 पेड़ों को बचाएं और नए पेड़ लगाएं।
💧 साफ़ और ठंडा पानी रखें।

Pakistan Court Beats Indian Court in Animal Welfare Order ! (MAY 2026)

Supreme Court Of India ordered euthanasia (read order) and permanent removal of Dogs from many places ... meanwhile yesterday Islamabad court (Pakistan) bars arbitrary killing of stray dogs, orders implementation of a humane, science-based population control policy focused on sterilization, vaccination and public health safeguards.

MOST IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE:
> Pakistan Court said : NGOs and animal welfare groups to play a central role in rescue, sheltering, sterilisation, and adoption.
> Where as Supreme Court Of India took money from each petitioner including NGOs and did not include animal welfare organisations in the welfare.

The Islamabad High Court banned the indiscriminate killing of stray dogs and ordered authorities to adopt a humane, science-based population control system.

⚖️ Key Highlights of Islamabad High Court order:
• No culling: Poisoning, shooting, and arbitrary killing banned.
• Euthanasia only with written certification from a qualified veterinarian.
• TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release) program to be implemented citywide.
• NGOs and animal welfare groups to play a central role in rescue, sheltering, sterilisation, and adoption.
• Transparent records required for all captured, vaccinated, sterilised, rehomed, or euthanised dogs.
• 24/7 helpline to report aggressive or rabid animals.
• Anti-rabies vaccines to be available in public health facilities.
• Comprehensive stray dog population survey ordered.

The Islamabad Court recognised animals as sentient beings deserving protection from unnecessary suffering and directed all relevant authorities to submit compliance reports within 60 days.

The municipal corporations and states in India have not been doing what they should have done for decades — Sterilsation and Vaccination.

On one hand, you are urging citizens to show compassion and sensitivity towards animals and birds, but on the other hand, a video of your own leader @VijayGoelBJP is going viral where he is seen kicking away a bowl kept for animals.

When responsible leaders behave like this, how will hatred and violence against animals ever stop? Such actions only encourage people who justify cruelty, illegal relocation and violence against street dogs.

Street dogs are also a part of India. They feel pain, suffer from thirst and hunger, and deserve the right to live with dignity and compassion.

We humbly request you to immediately intervene, condemn such inhumane behaviour and send a clear message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in India under any circumstances.
