To anybody just tuning in—I never expected my HIV med strike to get to day 89. I really did expect that New York Theatre Workshop would call for a ceasefire within the first month. I’ll admit to some dread. And sadness. But my resolve is unshaken.
No one ever tells you that there are infinite ways your heart can break, and they can all happen at the same time. There isn’t a single moment it isn't breaking. Every image, video and prayer coming out of Gaza right now carves a new line for your flesh to tear along.
