@AdamOutside One of our minor parties here is really pushing for universal income. It would empower so many folk. And boost local economies like no other.

@AdamOutside Exactly. Recently here in Oz we had a temporary covid time boost to welfare. That small boost was epic. Simply being able to shop local, pay bills on time, to be able to eat as you wish. It also showed that we can do better by folk without the (fiscal) sky falling down.
