Orchids galore this weekend, exploring some new spots in the sunshine. Lush. Standing to attention here is Orchis Militaris, the Military Orchid. Individual flowers have a helmet of pink sepals, I'm seeing where the name comes from 😊

Hey there butterfly 😍 A male Chalk Hill Blue, as it's snazzy blue whereas the females are brown. Came across this guy in a beautiful meadow. The type of place I could literally spend hours in and only move about two feet 😂

Definitely seen more wild orchids this year. Might just looking out for them more, but as well as Bee Orchids, I saw a whole heap of Pyramidal Orchids at the weekend. Beautiful! Makes you wonder what's in the ground waiting to emerge! 😁
