Imagine the Holy Father had sent a letter along the following lines to the SSPX:
- I would like to apologise for the unjust and harsh treatment you received at the hands of Rome, especially in the early days of your foundation.
- I am further sorry for the irregular status that has so needlessly attached to you for all these years.
- I acknowledge that in the "negotiations" between yourselves and Rome over this time, you were absolutely right to refuse to compromise. In the name of the Lord I thank you for standing firm on those points of doctrine and discipline that has be thrown into question and confusion in the years since the Council. On this, you were right and we were wrong. It it is not you who were the rebels.
- On which note, I acknowledge that you are likewise quite right to insist that there is a grave and serious crisis within the Church, which needs to be addressed at the highest level. I repent before God for the rebellion that has been present at the highest level in the Church for all these years.
- I acknowledge the wonderful and selfless work you have done throughout these turbulent times. While the faithful in many places in the world have been quite simply and literally unable to find parishes were either worthy Liturgy is celebrated or Catholic truth taught (and I publicly confess here that this is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable and must be addressed as the highest priority) while the faithful in many places have been thus deprived, where ever you are established the faithful have been well cared for indeed!
- With immediate effect I lift your irregular status, and grant you the dignity of a personal prelature, and I happily approve the episcipal ordinations you are about to undertake.
- The only condition attached to any of the above is that you refer cases of abuse to the proper channels in Rome, as indeed you have over the years.
Imagine that.
@RealMattFradd A Roman Pontiff promulgated Fiducia Supplicans. The same pontiff invented the idea that capital punishment violates human dignity. Defying the explicit directives of the Roman Pontiff doesn't seem that awful.
The King’s official job is to protect faith “within the multi-faith nation”, under a newly published palace definition of the monarch’s role.

And not because it's boring and most players lack the skill of a college or high school girls team, somehow.
But because they allow this to go completely unchecked.
This brutality has to end.
They’re going to k*ll or permanently injure her.
Sue the league.
Let’s hear it … is a one-game suspension enough?

Theologian JD Hall to Tucker Carlson:
The Muslim rulers didn't tax churches during the Ottoman period. They were very kind to Christians.
As a matter of fact, they took care of our holy sites. Islamic authorities rebuilt the Church of the Holy Sepulchre three different times over the centuries.
They had a law protecting Christian pilgrims on their journey. Nobody messed with the pilgrims.
