Really chuffed to share our latest work from Sanjana Lab out in @nature today (https://t.co/skHTGrKACw).
We tested >12,000 genes to find positive regulators of T cell proliferation to be used for next-gen #immunotherapies.

Delighted to see this work from our lab is now published as the first-ever (!) article in @CellGenomics:

Congrats to PhD student @CathyxGuo & many other lab members. Check out our previous tweetorial for an overview 👇
Preprint alert! 🚨 New work from our group for transcriptome engineering in human cells — including in T cells & to target SARS-CoV-2 — using chemically-modified guides and Cas13 RNPs.
Postdocs @alexmenman & @we_harm led the work & here's a great summary from Alex:

Delighted to share work from my postdoc, co-advised by @nevillesanjana and @tuuliel! It began with wanting to identify target genes for GWAS with CRISPR screens and single-cell seq. Brief look below, with shout-outs to my amazing co-authors!

New preprint from our group: “Transcriptome-wide Cas13 guide RNA design for model organisms and viral RNA pathogens” led by @CathyxGuo with big help from @we_harm, @alexmenman and #DanHaro.

“...as U.S.-China tensions worsen, I am left wondering what will come next.” And today the US government decide to ban WeChat. An app I used on a daily basis since I came to the US 8 years ago, the app that connect us to our friends and families back home. https://t.co/vJ72adqk00
Trump’s executive orders against WeChat and TikTok are yet another abuse of emergency powers under the broad guise of national security. They would violate the First Amendment rights of users in the US who use these apps to communicate with family, friends, or business contacts.
It is not well appreciated, but the truth is that one never really finishes to analyze a dataset. You just decide to stop and move on at some point, leaving some things undiscovered.
Four labs (C. Gao, @JKeithJoung , D. Li, @yachielab) report combining cytosine base editors (which convert C•G to T•A) & adenine base editors (which convert A•T to G•C) into combination base editors that make both conversions, especially useful for screening & evolution. 1/2
Excited to share this preprint from the @nevillesanjana lab, led by myself and an ultratalented NYU undergrad, Jahan Rahman (@jahanpehechanho). We designed CRISPR prime editing reagents to target thousands of human pathogenic variants. Key findings 1st! 👇

We are pleased to announce new Hi-C heatmap tracks for hg19 and hg38. This is part of our ongoing support for researchers studying the structural components of gene regulation.

Neuralink unveiled a sewing machine-like robot that will implant ultrafine flexible electrodes deep into the brain. But what is it *for*? https://t.co/fKQFbGYkyo
We've released a preprint with additional scientific detail on our devices for domain experts who want to know more. You can find it on bioArxiv: "An integrated brain-machine interface platform with thousands of channels" https://t.co/In7ZwOFIy9
Huge progress in neuroscience. We are getting so much better at neural decoding. It has been more than a decade since the first visual decoding work so great to see this leap forward.
TARGET-seq is out in @MolecularCell ! Like moving from a blury photograph to a high resolution picture of #cancer we can now perform parallel mutation and whole transcriptome analysis from the same #SingleCell cell with extremely high resolution. https://t.co/K3FlHecjZa
Using a stringent filtering tool called LOFTEE https://t.co/Nst1rwTKDi, we identify ~443K predicted loss-of-function variants, and 1,752 genes where we find at least one biallelic knockout individual (2/5).
