ANTHROPIC BUILDS BIOLOGY LAB TO PUSH AI INTO DRUG DEVELOPMENT
Anthropic has quietly established a Bay Area wet lab, moving its life-sciences ambitions beyond computer simulations and into physical biological experiments.
The company wants Claude to direct laboratory robots with limited human intervention, potentially accelerating research into rare and traditionally “undruggable” diseases.
Anthropic says it will focus on preclinical research rather than clinical trials, avoiding direct competition with pharmaceutical companies.
@sytses You are a gem. I hope I am able to cure myself from my disease as well. I am building a platform to empower other rare disease patients to hack at our own disease together. Thank you for your story and inspiration!
If you want clinical trial abundance and the fastest in-human validation loop, may I present 1000s of rare monogenic disease communities, some as small as two or three families, all eager and willing to participate in trials, starting with N-of-1.
