After a brilliant bit of digging and research by @CerinPoland, a joint venture to a remote and isolated wetland site has just uncovered this. Yep, at long last, that's a Cornish Dolomedes! We were both flabbergasted to see it!!! @BritishSpiders @graemelyons @cofnod

15 of our Belted Galloway cattle from Goss Moor #NNR safely arrived at Bosigran farm last week to start the pedigree herd! The cattle will be #conservation grazing the 600 acres at that site owned by the @nationaltrust contributing to #NatureRecovery!

Something strange is going on down here in Cornwall... one of our volunteers spotted this interesting occurrence of a Five-spot Burnet and a Cinnabar mating. Although they look similar, they are different species from different families! Has anyone seen this before?

The work we completed last year produced great results. Wild Strawberry, one of the Grizzled Skippers larval foodplants flourished in the cleared areas and a caterpillar was found, showing the work we put in has paid off!

Superb partnership work done at Penhale Sands earlier this week by our volunteers in cooperation with Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Penhale Ranger, Jon Cripps. We worked together to improve habitat for the Grizzled Skipper butterfly on its only known site in Cornwall.

Very interesting observations. I have also come across similar in Cornwall, finding four different females in locations over 1-3km away from the nearest known colony.
