From a helper in Surat to solving a critical problem in DRDO MBT Tanks…Here is the extraordinary story of Gopalkrushna Bhol from Ganjam, Odisha. 👇

After scoring 80% in Class 10, financial hardship forced Gopalkrushna Bhol from Hinjili to leave his studies and move to Surat, where he worked as a helper for five years. A serious accident left him with a severe waist injury, forcing him to leave his job and return home.

Back home, he sought admission to ITI Brahmapur. He was almost denied a seat because he was considered “too old”. But he refused to give up and convinced the principal to give him one chance.

He made that chance count.

After excelling at ITI Brahmapur, he joined DRDO, where he identified and fixed a critical problem in the Arjun Main Battle Tank (MBT) that others had been unable to resolve. For this achievement, DRDO felicitated him.

From a helper in Surat to being honoured by DRDO - Gopalkrushna Bhol’s story is a powerful reminder that determination can change the course of a life.
