[Reminder] Kaia v2.2.2 Hardfork is coming on Apr 7.
The bytecode at address(0) will be removed. After the upgrade, address(0) will behave as a regular EOA.
What changes:
• Calls to address(0) → succeed (currently reverts)
• isContract(address(0)) → false
• KAIA transfers to address(0) → succeed
Most apps won't be affected, but if your contracts depend on the previous behavior of address(0), review and update before the hardfork.

[Breaking Change] v2.2.2 Hardfork Upgrade: Removal of Bytecode at address(0)
Hi builders,
Starting from the v2.2.2 Hardfork (estimated date: Apr 7, 2026 block number: 213333000), the bytecode deployed at address(0) on Kaia Mainnet will be completely removed. After this change, address(0) will behave identically to an EOA without code.
Key behavior changes:
- Calls to address(0) → succeed (previously reverted)
- isContract(address(0)) → false (previously true)
- KAIA transfers to address(0) → succeed (previously failed)
Most apps won't be affected, but if your contracts depend on the previous behavior of address(0), review and update before the hardfork.

Hi Kaia Builders, Kaia v2.2.2 is out.
v2.2.2 comes with new features and improvements, but also a critical change for devs: the zero address (0x0) is being converted from a contract account to an EOA.
The hardfork is about a month out, so we'll share a detailed post soon on any actions you may need to take.
All Mainnet nodes must be upgraded before block #213333000 (est. Apr 7, 10:03 UTC+9).

Infrastructure should absorb complexity, not export it.
Through the SODAX SDK, Kaia builders now gain access to 17+ networks of unified liquidity, all chain abstracted through our solver architecture.
@Mars_DeFi EIP-8141 is the upgrade that makes Ethereum wallets feel like actual products.
Native account abstraction at the protocol level means no more workarounds, just gasless transactions, biometric login and social recovery out of the box.
Smart capital is seeking the most robust bridge to the onchain world.
With deep ties to TradFi and the backing of Asia's largest superapps, Kaia is the logical destination for the region's liquidity.
The "Asian Tigers" are waking up, onchain.
Intra-Asian commerce is surging, driven by migration flows.
But current rails – both legacy and onchain – suffer from inefficiencies.
