Chapter 4, page 46-47 of NIOS Senior Secondary School Text Book for Indian Culture and Heritage compares Hinduism and Islam and outrightly ridicules Hinduism.

It says that Hinduism degenerated when Islam arrived in India, Hinduism ill-treated lower classes. Islam was the opposite of what was in practise among Hindus. It talked of equality, brotherhood and oneness of God. There were no dogmas in Islam. On the other hand, it had a simple doctrine and a democratic organisation.
The book demeans Hindu religious practices as superstitions.

It is ironical that this is a part of the course titled- "Indian Culture and Heritage".

We have just started analyzing only a few subjects. But what we have found is quite disgusting.
The same following themes repeat across multiple subjects - Gender Studies, Sociology, Indian Culture and Heritage, History, Political Science etc-
1. Hinduism is bad, General Category particularly Brahmins and Thakurs are villains.
2. Islam, Christianity, Buddhism are great religions and these religions treat women better than Hinduism.
3. Arrival of Islam and Christianity was a God's gift to India as they have pulled India out of dark ages.

& The books provide absolutely no references for these claims.

Q is whether there are no audits or checks in the preparation of these text books?

What is the recourse of the common Hindu when the government itself wages a war on our traditions and inject falsehood?

Delhi Court directs Delhi cyber police to register an FIR against journalist Karishma Aziz for allegedly making derogatory comments against Hindu saints and for spreading anti-India sentiments on social media platform X.

Patiala House Court Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Mridul Gupta passed the order after noting that the complaint against Aziz disclosed commission of cognizable offences.

“However, having regard to the allegations made in the complaint, the material placed on record and the nature of evidence required to be collected, this Court is satisfied that the complaint discloses commission of cognizable offences requiring investigation. It is made clear that no opinion is being expressed on the merits of the allegations at this stage”, the Court noted.

The decision came on a complaint plea filed by Advocate Amita Sachdeva.

बाइबिल के अनुसार, ये वे कानून हैं जिन्हें ईश्वर ने मूसा के माध्यम से इजराइलियों के सामने रखा.

इस कानून में पिता को अपनी बेटी को दासी के रूप में बे��ने का अधिकार दिया गया है.

लेकिन आज के ईसाई ऐसे धार्मिक कानूनों को स्वीकार नहीं करते. वे इन्हें सिर्फ ऐतिहासिक संदर्भ में देखते हैं. इन्हें आज के समाज पर लागू नहीं करते.

वे किताब का सम्मान करते हैं पर मानते नहीं हैं, न लागू करते हैं.

यही बात हिंदू धर्म पर भी लागू होनी चाहिए.

किसी प्राचीन ग्रंथ में लिखी हर बात को आज के हिंदुओं के आचरण का प्रमाण मानना उतना ही गलत है, जितना बाइबिल के पुराने नियम के आधार पर आज के ईसाइयों को परिभाषित करना.

अगर मनुस्मृति में लिखी किसी बात के आधार पर आज के हिंदुओं को पितृसत्तात्मक बताया जा सकता है, तो उसी कसौटी से बाइबिल के इन कानूनों पर भी सवाल होना चाहिए. और अगर आज के ईसाइयों को उनके प्राचीन ग्रंथ के आधार पर नहीं परखा जाता, तो यही उदारता हिंदुओं के लिए भी होनी चाहिए.

यही असली कसौटी है. धर्मग्रंथों के पुराने नियमों और आज के समाज के बीच फर्क करना.
