Between 2020-23 we carried out this research on Women struggling with infertility and their psychological wellbeing funded by the National Commission for Women @NCWIndia. Thanks @ButaniAshna for highlighting some of the findings.
Nearly 77% of infertile women were found suffering from depression, as opposed to a 23% prevalence among fertile women. In a pro-natalist society where the burden of infertility falls on women, this study calls for structured psychological support.
