Discovery of Late Intermediates in Methylenomycin Biosynthesis Active against Drug-Resistant Gram-Positive Bacterial Pathogens | Journal of the American Chemical Society @Challis_Group@warwickchem https://t.co/v9JDyi86vH
Looking forward to Directing Biosynthesis VII #DBVII – join us in Birmingham to connect with colleagues, share and discover cutting-edge biosynthesis research.
Registration closes on 10 June. Be part of the conversation: https://t.co/pOFeyCNxfq
Great to catchup at Monash with our Director @TheCraikGroup and CIs Max Cryle and @Challis_Group to hear Doug Mitchell's talk while he's out on sabatical from our partner @UofIllinois. Looking forward to hosting you Doug at our ANU and Queensland nodes shortly.
Check out some of the PhD work of @JianXinyun and @FloraPang1 from their time @warwickchem on mechanisms of antibiotic structural diversification by trans-AT polyketide synthases, recently published in @J_A_C_S. https://t.co/Absc9aftqz
It was a fantastic conference! So excited to meet many great people and hear their exciting science. Thanks for the opportunity to share my work with @Challis_Group and the Cryle group @MonashUni@ARC_CIPPS!

Congratulations to Daniel Van, an @MonashWarwick Alliance research fellow in our group @warwickchem, co-supervised by @pstansfeld, who won the best poster prize at the Antibiotic Discovery Accelerator Network Meeting @JohnInnesCentre in Norwich.
Congratulations to @CallumBullock12 an @MIBTP1 PhD student in our group @warwickchem who was awarded a best poster prize at the Chemistry and Biology of Natural Products ECR conference.
Congratulations to @MIBTP1 and @warwickchem PhD student @MunroPassmore co-supervised by @Jenner_Lab who won the Chemical Biology prize for his talk at our departmental postgraduate symposium yesterday.
Congratulations to @AlexJMullins who has been awarded one of BBSRC's 22 new Discovery Fellowships. We look forward to hosting him in our Warwick lab for three years from August. https://t.co/XHDIT34xka
A colourful start to 2023 🎇
Very surreal to see my posters at the entrance to our chemical biology labs @warwickchem - I had so much fun making them and it’s amazing to see them up!
Extremely honored to receive an @ERC_Research Starting Grant to engineer beneficial gut microbes for therapeutic applications!! A big thanks to my team members, colleagues and mentors who've supported me in this process!🙏🥳@VIB_microbes@BiologyKULeuven👉https://t.co/NFpckk0qFY
Email I sent in response to @NatureComms´s request for me to act as a reviewer today (part 1 of 2).
#OpenAccess isn´t open if those of us in developing countries are economically excluded from publishing equitably.
2/ These editing protocols are very robust & easy to implement, taking advantage of efficient recombination in yeast, & enable multiple genes to be edited in parallel, streamlining the process. Read the paper: https://t.co/UFnZcVUxqO
1/Published in @NAR_Open, the @Challis_Group have developed a new technique for rapid cloning & editing of gene sets. Their method enables editing of genes sets from bacteria to be done more easily & rapidly than CRISPR/Cas9 & has a broad range of applications in bioengineering.
The #CBNP16 is back as an in-person meeting at @uniofwarwick for the first time in 4 years! Join us for a 2-day symposium exploring the chemistry and biology of natural products.
