🎄It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like... Christmas Jumper Day!🎄
Ah, Christmas Jumper Day – the one time of year when it's socially acceptable to look like you've been tackled by a tinsel tornado. Whether you're rocking a classic reindeer, a blinking LED masterpiece, or a "subtle" office-friendly snowflake number, Dec 12th is your chance to shine (or blind).
A few interpretations I've come across over the years:
The "Reindeer with Sunglasses" Jumper: You’re here to party and you know it.
The Oversized Gift Bow Jumper: You’re not just part of the team; you’re the present they didn’t know they needed.
The Minimalist Snowflake Jumper: Subtle. Classy. Probably still trying to decide if you regret participating.
But let’s not forget, the true spirit of Christmas Jumper Day isn’t about the sequins or the occasional battery pack. It’s about bringing a little joy, having a laugh, and maybe even raising money for a good cause while we're at it.
Dig into your wardrobe, get festive, and let’s make it a day to remember – for all the right (and a few gloriously cringeworthy) reasons.

Three Things I’ve Learned from 30+ Years in Project Management
Reflecting on over three decades of navigating the complex world of project and change management, I've gained countless lessons, experienced shifts in how we work, and seen the rise and fall of trends and methodologies. Amongst it all, three lessons continue to stand out and shape how I lead and engage with clients and teams:
1. Adaptability is Key
Change is the one constant in our profession. Whether it's new technologies, stakeholder expectations, or market disruptions, the ability to adapt quickly and effectively is a cornerstone of successful project management. Embracing flexibility does not mean abandoning structure; rather, it means staying open to shifting plans when necessary, keeping projects aligned with their ultimate goals. Without adaptability, even the most carefully laid plans risk stagnation or irrelevance.
2. People Are the Most Important Asset
In the end, it's people—not systems, frameworks, or technologies—that drive change and guarantee project success. Relationships as well as effective communication and an inclusive culture can make or break projects. Recognising each team member's unique contribution transforms transactional work into transformational outcomes.
3. Success is a Journey
Achieving project goals is satisfying, but true success lies in the journey. The lessons learned, the resilience built, and the trust established throughout a project's lifecycle are just as important as its deliverables. Measuring success solely by outcomes misses the opportunity to value continuous growth and improvement. Each challenge, setback, and achievement provides a building block for future endeavours.
These lessons are timeless in their value but constantly changing. As I reflect on my own journey, I'm curious: What key lessons have defined your career in project and change management? I look forward to hearing your experiences and insights.
