#ArambaiTengol handedover the weapons after we came into an agreement with the Honorable Governor on the following points:

1) The Governor assured us that NO Separate Administration would be granted to the Kukis. Based on this, we began handing over arms.

2) AT will aid in peace and development efforts.

3) Central forces and police will protect Meitei lives and properties in peripheral areas.

4) If, after disarmament, #Kukis attack Meiteis again, leading to civilian casualties, the government will not interfere when AT takes necessary retaliatory action.
The government fully agreed to this.

5) General amnesty will be granted to all Village Volunteers, including AT.

6) AT members will be allowed free movement in uniform.

7) The government to implement NRC, FRM, and Border fencing and make AT understand on the progress from time to time

8) The 1960 MLR Act, which is anti-Meitei, will be revisited.

9) Poppy cultivation will be eradicated to safeguard youth from drugs.

With these agreements in place, we have handed over our weapons.

The above is the statement given by one Paolianlal Haokip, Member of the Legislative Assembly, who recently received electoral rights in Manipur in the year 2021. We don't know where he was before. He was elected only yesterday. He is the main instigator of all the violence. Even the above statement is a hate campaign to promote himself among his community. The truth is Meitei Colonies were burnt down in Churachandpur, and after some time, all the houses and remains were grounded and leveled for other purposes. No action was taken by the government. No one was suspended. A few houses were burnt in Imphal but not grounded, and they are still intact. In fact, such leaders make the fate of Kukis, who were settled before 1961, suffer.

This statement concerning the handling of security issues and communal violence in Manipur is deeply shocking. It appears to be a blatant attempt to incite hate and division within communities for personal gain. The selective enforcement of disciplinary actions,highlights a grave injustice within the system. It's evident that such leaders are exploiting societal tensions and perpetuating violence for their own political agenda, ultimately causing harm to innocent civilians and disrupting communal harmony. It's imperative to stand against such hate campaigns and hold accountable those who manipulate public sentiment for selfish motives. True leadership should prioritize the safety and well-being of all citizens, irrespective of their background, and work towards fostering unity and reconciliation within diverse communities.
Beware of such pseudo politicians.
