Field Day fun at Saegert Elementary School ☀️💧
So proud of these girls for showing up, helping out, and bringing great energy all day long. From running stations to cheering kids on, they represented our program so well. 💙 #FieldDay#Teamwork#Community
Summer intentions & actions say a lot about you. Missing workouts with no communication, being late & always making excuses eliminates a lot of players from any leadership role. Leaders show up & do hard things; they hold themselves & others accountable and they lead by example.
A huge crowd filled with family, friends and classmates gathered at Shoemaker on Wednesday to celebrate seven student-athletes during an emotional, heartfelt signing ceremony. Congratulations on making your choices! #WeAreKISD

Coaches
Study your Bench.
Study your Coaches on the Bench.
Are you a Proactive Bench meaning you are trying to PREVENT things from happening or REMINDING players what’s coming ?
Or
Are you a Reactive Bench meaning you are responding and being critical after the play ?
COACH SABAN ON TRUTH
“The hardest part is we have to believe the truth when someone tells us we need to improve on something . . . if you don’t you’ll never improve.”
Leaders Do the Little Things:
🧳 carry the bags
💧 grab the water bottles
🧽 tidy up the locker room
🚌 make sure the bus is clean
🧹 sweep the floor
🍽️ eat last
🗑️ bus the tables
🙏 say please and thank you
⭐️ represent the team with class
As an AD, I remind our coaches that, if done correctly, they will make a bigger impact than any wins or losses ever could. Although winning is always the goal, building strong relationships, creating accountability, and holding players to championship standards are the things that will stay with athletes for a lifetime.
In today’s society, wins and playing time have become the biggest measures of success. However, if we allow those things to define a person’s worth, we miss the true purpose of athletics. The value of relationship building, character development, discipline, and teaching athletes how to handle adversity will always outweigh a scoreboard.
Years from now, most athletes will not remember every score or statistic, but they will remember the coaches who challenged them, believed in them as human beings, held them accountable, and helped shape them into better people. That is the lasting impact of coaching.
The NCAA Clearing house requires a 2.3 core GPA.
I’ll go slow.
3 Ds and an F is “eligible” to play in high school but that GPA is 0.75.
2 Bs and 2 Cs is a 2.5 for comparison.
You can be All conf, All area, and All world but they can’t take less than 2.3 core GPA. 🤷♂️
The best cultures don’t happen by accident.
They’re built with intention.
Dan Lanning said they spent 4 months defining the DNA of their program before ever putting it on a wall.
4 traits:
Connection - because players fight harder for people they truly know.
Growth - win or lose, it's “growth week.” The standard is always improving.
Toughness - handling hard without flinching.
Sacrifice - being okay with the team winning even when you don’t get the spotlight.
That’s leadership.
Not just demanding standards…
but building an environment where people want to live them out.
High School Playoffs.
Chasing a high school state championship is special.
Winning a high school state championship is historic for any high school player.
The players go to school with each other for years in most cases.
Some have known each other since they were toddlers.
Parents know each other and it means something to the community.
High school athletics bring people together and form a forever bond.
High school athletics can't be replaced and are more important than most realize.
