@Amhara_News The budget allocation shows the effort to restructure debt couldn't be more relevant for the 🇪🇹 economy sinking in debt. More importantly the Govt need to focus more than ever on growth and create the ability to service the debt and stop the country sucked in to a black hole.
@TMA1961 Sad to hear Christian Tadele, Member of Ethiopian Parliament is struggling for his life in hospital following bungled arrest and torture by government forces. The Govt of Abiy Ahmed taking the country to point of no return, massacre & arresting Amhara because of their identity.
I stand with #AmharaResistance spreading like wildfire. It is about survival. It is about security and peace . It is to defend lives , livelihood , and dignity subjected to all forms of brutalities, atrocities , and injustice against Amhara people in many parts of Ethiopia. These tragedies and horrific state of affairs must come to an end after 33 years of brutality, injustice and indignities the Amhara communities suffered throughout Ethiopia, both outside and inside of the the region . All Ethiopian patriots and democrats should support the ongoing resistance for justice against injustice and an oppressive regime. The Amhara resistance, however, must work towards a United front and the coordination of across sectors of society and oppressed people throughout Ethiopia. The struggle must not be parochial but an
Inclusive and truly democratic vision for Ethiopia as opposed to a power grab. It must aim for the empowerment of the Ethiopian people throughout the country , not the elite who have betrayed the people , time and again . Indeed a cruel, tone deaf, corrupt , & venal elite , from EPRDF to Prosperity Party. I stand with #AmharaResistance for justice & equality of All oppressed people of Ethiopia to live with security, peace, rights protected and guaranteed for all. #JusticeForEthiopia and all #Ethiopians .

@zerihunmegersaj @NeaminZeleke RIP Girma Yeshitila and hope peace return to Z region. I am a bit puzzled by the public outcry here & relative silence of our supporters of Z Oromo cause about the poor lives of coach FULL of people sprayed with bullets, killed & hostaged allegedly by OLA @ Metaharaa within a day
@YonasBiru57@HouseAppropsGOP@RepHalRogers@TomColeOK04@RyanZinke@NeaminZeleke@SecBlinken Here we go again, labelling anyone who criticize the PM or z currently misguided political course 🇪🇹 is taking, as enemy of the state or country. Not i endorse fully the thesis of Dr Yonas putting all the blame on the PM' door, this characterization is damaging for free thinking.
@YoumABF2 Urbanization without human face, Ethiopian style. It is heart breaking to C exodus of helpless innocent citizens uprooted from their community to no where, to make way for a political project of ethnic cleansing. This project will fracture 🇪🇹 further & hope will fall on its face
Yeneta Tube Reporter Genet Asmamaw called family members when local authorities described as “secret service” arrived at her office in Addis Ababa to detain her for “questioning”. During the recorded conversation she describes the officers as being rude, insulting her and forcing her to surrender without being told her crime or where she is being taken. Moments into her call it appears the phone is taken from her as she screams out “don’t touch me” and asks repeatedly where is she is being taken. The officers voices are heard hurling insults and using foul language and at one point you hear one of the officers saying “slap her”. The phone call is still being recorded as the officers apparently put her in a vehicle and are heard talking about her being a reporter and mocking her, continuing to insult her and expressing their anger at her tone and attitude towards them as being disrespectful of their authority for asking her questions. At one point one of the men is heard calling to what seems to be a police station saying he is bringing in the victim and stating that she was making a call/recording and that he didn’t think anyone else recorded the incident. At this point it is not certain where she was taken or for what reason. #protectthepeople #addisababa #ethiopia #policebrutality #illegalarrests #protectfreespeech @EthioHRC@hrcoethio@UN_HRC@USEmbassyAddis@MikeHammerUSA@AbiyAhmedAli@AdanechAbiebie@TubeYeneta
The over 40 years of TPLF atrocities in #Welkait, #Tselemet and #Raya is a tragedy that can’t be ignored.
If the Pretoria Agreement is to be sustained, the international community must not turn a blind eye or normalize the TPLF’s violations of human rights & int’l law. #SayWelkait
@DavidAltonHL@SecBlinken@KarimKhanQC World must be consistent to bring leaders Western coaltion to the ICC for the senseless loss of millions of innocent lives in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, the list goes on, over the decades. You have no morale authority to even suggest this on 🇪🇹 for defending its sovereignty
